goaliescrease.proboards.com - The Goalie's Crease Problem with 'Facebook Style Like/Dislike System' I have installed the script for the ' Facebook Style Like/Dislike System' and I am having some problems. When I first installed it, it worked great and has been working great ever since. Just noticed over the past week, that the 'Like/Dislike' feature hasn't been working and I haven't changed anything on my forum. I copy and pasted a newer version of the script (v1.2) and still am not having any luck. Anyone else using this script and having any issues ??

seems sometimes it'll work for a post, then nothing.
It's a really neat script, would love to see it working again!

Could you please explain exactly what the problem is? And does it happen all the time or is the problem infrequent? Every now and then Google App Engine will have some problems with their datastore which will make the code not function for short periods of time.

Yes, what will happen ... as I'm reading thru, I try to click like/dislike and nothing happens. Sometimes it'll work once and then I am unable to use it again for an unknown period of time. It worked great for awhile .... then all of a sudden, nothing. I could click all day on the like icon and nothing. : ( So in a sense .... it doesn't work. : ) |

Wonder checks in every few days, so add his name to the thread title to garner his attention. being a remotely hosted code, he is going to be your best bet at finding the solution.

Can you PM me your global headers/footers so I can try to replicate the problem. Also, what browser are you using and are other members experiencing this problem?

I have a feeling that this code may be conflicting with the Facebook Style Like/Dislike System code: "Quote Multiple Posts/Selections"
Press "Ctrl" and "F" on your keyboard at the same time when you are your in your headers and footers, then type in "Quote Multiple Posts/Selections, and you should then find the code I am referring to. I believe that code is what is making the like/dislike system not work.

I haven't made any changes to the subject on my forum, and as of yesterday .... everything is back to normal and working!
