Lonely Paradise

The large cruise ship sailed freely through the Pacific ocean on it's last leg as it journeyed around the world on a 365 day trip to every country in the south pacific and Atlantic ocean. People had filled the ship from countries all over the world, families with young children, teenagers and parents, old couples, it all seemed perfectly fine on the hot summers day. Passengers lined the deck of the ship soaking in the suns hot rays and tanning their already brown skin. The waves rocked the ship lightly and dolphins sped through the water like they had done for the past two days as they followed the ship on it's voyage.

The captain stood perched behind the glass window of his private quarters when he felt the sudden jagged scraping lining the ship and saw the clouds gather almost to fast, a storm was brewing and they'd hit a reef. The ship had some to a piercing stop and passengers were wondering what was going on when lightning flashed in the sky, and thunder rolled across the ocean in a ripple of waves.

"Water is filling the lower decks!" a man had come running up to the deck from the staff quakers, he was dripping wet. People were scattering onto the deck, some bleeding from steel splinters that had been pushed in at jagged angles. And everything went downhill from there as the ship took it's last look at sunlight as it slowly slipped below the oceans surface, crumpling on the reef, only the back end sticking out slightly.

Passengers had frantically filled boats and grabbed some of their belongings heading for the closest shore though they floated for days on end, weeks seemed to pass, people were scared, some had been lost people had died but those who survived were grateful. The survivors made camp on an island they'd washed up on, and have been living there ever since.
