You will need Facebook to sign up (for betazone. Facebook is not required for v5). If you don't have a Facebook account, it's free to create.

So, will v5 screw up all the coding I already have on my forum and have to be converted or redone? It depends on the code. Most codes aren't even needed with v5. We built-in many of the options that people needed codes to accomplish. We're currently experimenting with different options for converting headers and footers over to v5. Also, I would note that BetaZone is the chance for plugin developers to create new codes that will be 10x easier to use than how v4.5 uses codes. What if we'd rather stick to the exact look and way our forum is now? Are we automatically converted to v5 or do we get the option when it comes out? Everyone will, eventually, be upgraded. However, we're going to have at minimum a 3 month transition period where you can plan to move over. One of the advantages of BetaZone is that you can build themes and export them. Then, when v5 comes, you can just import your theme  I'm certain that someone will create a "classic" v4 theme that you would be able to import on your forum easily. Just a quick question. What will plugins be coded in? Plugins are coded using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. It's just like Headers & Footers - except extremely organized and customizable. |

That would be pointless in my case, as soon as i signed up, i would delete my account at fb (actually you can't delete your account, only disable it, so that's another reason i won't get another account) And as such i wouldn't have any followers to see the likes. Aren't there aleady over 3 million people that like PB ? THis isn't just for me, but there's a lot of young people (13+) that can't have a fb account |
