 Manual domain hosting setup
« Thread Started on Apr 9, 2008, 7:51pm »

Board URL: http://onlineinformer.proboards52.com/v45index.cgi?

Problem: I have no idea what I am being told to do. I expected this board to be in plain English. I was mistaken. Those of us without the knowledge are screwed by using proboards.

What do you expect someone new to do?

Wait. That is the final step. The ProBoards administrative staff has to set things up on their end too.

Have you purchased the 14 credits?
If so, add to the thread title, and in the post include the domain you've set the name servers for (onlineinformerforums.com)

In which case, add " " to the thread title, make sure you've listed the domain & forum URLs, and then wait it out. =]

Can anyone provide step by step after I wait, who knows how long, before I get to put my own ads up?

That's something to do with whatever ads you're using. Whatever company/ad you're putting up, they'll give you a code and you put that in your global headers or footers.

Further than that, no one here has anything to do with it.

What's with all the animosity? The help you receive is in plain english. If you cannot understand what has been said, then someone will happily put it another way for you. There is no need to get insulting. The best way to get help is to first help yourself, and then to ask others in a polite mannered way.

You are not getting screwed by anyone :-/

It looks like your google payment is still processing, as the credits aren't showing on your board. I also need to obviously know what your domain is.

Craig I am sorry for the attitude. You see I had been trying to get someone to explain this process to me another way all night. Now this morning I really don't know where I am or what I have to do next.

Here is what I know.

Domain name is onlineinformerforums.com

I have purchased 14 credits. However this morning they still are not showing. I only have a couple of hours this morning to work on this, however this afternoon I will have plenty of time.

What I need to know now is, what is my next step? I know I have to wait for the credits to apply, however is there anything I can do whille waiting?

When can I expect those credits to be applied?

The following changes have been made...

ns.proboards.com
ns4.proboards.com

I need someone to apply these credits so I can get to work on putting my own ads on my board.

Could you post the transaction # of the google transaction, and i'll see what the progress is on it. I see they still aren't credited to your forum.

Thanks. It's set up now, and you should be able to access via your domain name now :)
