Click here for the new thread regarding this issue
We believe we are making some progress on this issue. I would appreciate those who are posting in this thread to give detailed information. Just posting that you are experiencing this problem does not help us identify the problem. Please read below for how to help us out.
We have made a change to our systems to attempt to address this issue. If this issue is still occuring for you after 12:15am Pacific (15 minutes from now), please post so that we can confirm whether or not our changes had an impact on the situation.
If you are still experiencing this, please post:
1) Your version of Internet Explorer (click on Help -> About Internet Explorer)
2) Your operating system (e.g. Windows XP Home, Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista, etc)
3) The exact pages that you go to and links that you click on which results in you being redirected back to the home page (please post the URLs)
4) Immediately after you have an issue where a page redirects you, please click on "Start" -> "Run" and type "cmd". Then type "ping DOMAIN" where DOMAIN is the domain for your forum. For example, the domain for this forum is "support.proboards.com" so I would type "ping support.proboards.com" It will then say something like: "Pinging support.proboards.com [67.15.181.2] with 32 bytes of data:" --- Please just copy/paste that line into your post so that we can see which server IP you are connected to.
5) Is there anything in particular you notice? How far along does the page load before it redirects you back to the home page? Any other details?
Also, it would be very helpful if someone who consistently has this problem can follow these instructions:
1) Right click on a thread link which if you clicked on normally would cause you to redirect back to the home page / board.
2) Click "Copy Link Location"
3) Put in your browser URL "view-source:URL" where URL is the URL that you copied (hit CTRL+V to paste it in)
4) Press enter
This will bring up the source code for the page.
Now copy that HTML and put it into a text file (.txt) on your computer. Please attach that file to your post in this thread (attachments are enabled now).
