Hey, so I've read both of the crossfury threads, but I seem to be having a different problem.... I'm able to create the profile options, but when I go to modify my profile and fill out the field (or select a choice), nothing happens... it's not visible... is there another code that might be conflicting with it? ( this is the site where it doesn't seem to work ) I have the same code on another site, and it works there.....

( this is the site where it doesn't seem to work ) I have the same code on another site, and it works there..... The Crossfury code uses the 'Website URL' field in the profile page to store it's information. The field only has a certain amount of allowable characters [letters, numbers, symbols, and spaces], which I believe is somewhere around 250. In order for the code to work, it has to put a valid URL in this space [eg, your forum's URL]. Then, it will take your options, and your responses and add them to the end of the URL, something like this: http://username.proboards.com/?option1=your answer here??=option2=Your answer here&??option3=Your answer here&??If you have too many options, with too many characters, it will not work.

I only had two options, and I just deleted one of them.... so now I only have one option, one with a text field. ^^ And I'm still having the same problem...

That's odd. I'm not sure what else to say. xD All I know is what I posted, and the fact that the CF code is generally buggy. =/

I see 4 members on the forum and not one of them has a homepage set in their profile. This could probably mean anything from the onsubmit handler setup by crossfury was taken down by a code running after it (which I don't see) to a code has corrupted the submission form (in firefox but perfectly fine in IE) so nothing happens when you click submit. By saying "nothing happens" you're not really helping yourself since it's too vague and could mean "no action is taken" to "the change I expected is not happening" or somewhere in between. Describe what happens (or doesn't happen as expected) when you enter info then click the modify profile button. Which browser are you using and whether you tried another browser and got the same results. Give an example link to the profile you're trying to modify and most importantly, explain it as if you are explaining the problem to a blind person since as guests viewing your forum that is effectively what we are, we cannot see all that you can see and do.

I use Firefox, but I've tried it on IE and the same thing happens By that, I mean that that when I enter the text, it's not visible in the miniprofile like it should be. And when I go back to 'modify profile'... everything is blank. However, adding in the homepage url & name has caused it to work. ( Click ) But isn't the homepage url & name supposed to appear automatically when using this code?

Yes it is supposed to and finding the reason why it isn't can probably be found in the error console of your firefox...

"Warning: Expected ':' but found '>'. Declaration dropped. Source File: ccnewzealand.proboards.com/" is what comes up in my error console. So that means I have a '>' where should be a ':' should be?

Clear the website url from the profile then save then go back into modify profile and clear the error console (don't close it) then try to set a value for the option and save. Any errors that show should then be directly related to the problem
