 Side tables with template
« Thread Started on Nov 2, 2009, 6:30pm »

Site: www.wickumfalls.proboards.com

I am using a template and the person who made it and the site in which it is from is closed. So was asking here..

I am wanting to add the smangii's side tables to the left on it, but don't know how to add it and keep the template working correctly also. I have to take out the existing forum resize code worked into the template, I understand that, not sure where it is at. :/

Thanks in advance,
Krystal.

i don't think it's possible, because you'd have to either shrink your forum width really small, or edit the images to a larger size. =[ if it's a template, i don't think you can do that without the creator's permission.

but if you want to try anyway, this is the forum resize code you currently have:

Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
tablew = document.getElementsByTagName('TABLE');
for(t=0;t<tablew.length;t++) {
if(tablew[t].width=="92%"){
tablew[t].width='627';
}
}
// -->
</script>

you'd also have to remove the following, as the side tables come with it:

Code:
<div id="wel"></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
var welcomeTable = document.getElementsByTagName("table").item(0);
document.getElementById("wel").appendChild(welcomeTable);
//-->
</script>

but again, if you want to use side tables, i recommend either not using a template, or using a template that has side tables already in it so you don't run into an issue with images.

If I keep the credit for the template at the bottom like asked thats all that counts for it though right? They even said in the read me that you dont have to keep the copyright thingy in tact but its appreciated.

i can't speak for the template creator, but if it is in the read me it should be OK.

Okay.

I got it to put the images together correctly in the middle with the double sided side tables but it doesn't work on the right correctly. :/

Try decreasing the size of your cbox from 200 pixels to 180 pixels wide.
