I won't be hosting this script myself. I'm releasing it open-source, and hoping it won't be stolen. You may modify this script to your liking, but I ask that I get credit for the original work. If you want to post your version of the script on your own coding message board, please link to the original topic to allow your members to choose from other modified versions. If you want to host/modify this script, use this tutorial. There are a few flaws, but I think I finally did the impossible. cr0w will be releasing a public version at the beginning of next month... you'll be able to see it in action, then, unless you host it yourself, which you're free to do.

Nicely done...my bandwidth is almost at max already for this month, so i'm gonna have to wait till next month to host this When i host it, i'll add some more stats to it (Categories, Boards, Average Posts Per Topic, etc.

Okay. Don't create a new column for average, though. I hope this thing is huge.

If I knew php, then I'd probably edit it and host it for you, but: me + php = wtf?

I like it. I might use it when I remake my main site, but I have to find a stable host that is free, I can't afford to pay anylonger...
I have so many coding projects going on (my money hack with PHP, SUCKED, I deleted it)...so it'll take a while...
Edit, yep I might do that... ;D

No one ever needs to input anything or change any variables. You put the stats.js external script on your ProBoards and the stats2.php on your main site. I didn't create a stats2.php tutorial. But it would be something like this: <script src="http://www.YourDomain.com/stats2.php?user=YOUR_PROBOARDS_ID" type="text/javascript"> /* ProBoards Statistics (C) GAMEchief, a.k.a. SegaDragon This notice may not be removed for any reason. http://www.gamingmedley.com YOUR COPYRIGHT NOTICE HERE */ </script> <script type="text/javascript"> <!--
document.write("We have "+stats['members']+" Members who have posted "+stats['posts']+" posts in "+stats['topics']+" topics.");
//--> </script> Just change "YOUR_PROBOARDS_ID". If your URL is: http:// support.proboards.com You would use stats2.php?user=support I don't know if I'll be able to put this in the database though. It would be something like: Default Features:Last Post By, Last Post By URL, Member Count, Post Count, Topic Count, etc.Choose a Version:cr0w's Host: <script src="cr0ws Host">blah</script> +Features+Average Posts Per Topic, Average Topics Per Forum, Average Forums Per Category, Category Count, Forum Count GAMEchief's Host: blah +Features+Nothing
Maybe. I guess I need to have it in the PBSupport database to prevent it from being stolen... as often.
And a note to anyone planning on modding this: If you want to code a "History" IP Logger, that would be great. There's one major flaw in this, which allows anyone with JavaScript knowledge to change your stats. If no one can figure this one out, I'll be happy to tell them when I know more about what I'm going to be doing with this script. A history could fix this with global banning. It would be a history that would be output like so: Last Updated By | Posts | etc. | IP | GAMEchief | 100,000 | 98 | 127.0.0.1 | cr0w | 99,999 | 98 | 911.911.911 | My Anus | 0 | 1 | 007.007.007 | GAMEchief | 99,998 | 97 | 127.0.0.1 |
- you would ban the IP 007.007.007 from accessing stats2.php on all ProBoards that use your host. I want to have IP log in v1.1, as well as Category Count and Forum Count. But, ya. This would be quite the complex code to have in the database. :S

Nice work, I knew it was only a matter of time before someone did something like this, I'm just glad it wasn't me I can add it to the code snippets thread if you want? Since the member will need some MySql and JavaScript knowledge to set-up and use the code, I don't think the database would be the best place for something like this

Thanks. I've had the idea in my head for a while. I'm surprised not more people combine PHP and MySQL with ProBoards. This is my fourth script with PHP and ProBoards. Third with MySQL, PHP, and ProBoards.
But about the database, I only want the completed versions to go in the database; not the open-source. Like if cr0w adds a History and Category Count, etc., he can give me the link to his host, and I'll edit the topic in the database adding
cr0w's Host/Version:
Code For Your ProBoard
Code For Your Main Site Features of cr0w's Host/Version

I can't get it to work. There's a 99.8% chance I'm doing it wrong as it took me about 20min to do what I did.

I haven't tested it together, but I've tested stats.js and stats2.php separately. I think cr0w has tested it, though... It definately shouldn't have taken twenty minutes, though. EDIT: AH! I bet you didn't install the table. <?php // CONNECT TO THE DATABASE HERE mysql_query("create table statistics (". "pid tinytext not null default '',". "lastUpdatedBy mediumtext not null default '',". "lastUpdatedByUrl mediumtext not null default '',". "lastUpdatedTopic tinytext not null default '',". "lastUpdatedTopicUrl tinytext not null default '',". "members mediumint not null,". "newestMember tinytext not null default '',". "newestMemberUrl tinytext not null default '',". "posts mediumint not null,". "topics mediumint not null,". "lastused int not null)") or die(mysql_error()); mysql_close(); ?> You probably should use tinyblob for lastUpdatedTopic. I haven't tested to see if ProBoards includes trailing spaces.

Third with MySQL, PHP, and ProBoards. Probably because most either don't know how, don't have the time or don't have enough bandwidth ( ). I think of all the currently active ProBoards coders, there's only half a dozen of us who know PHP/MySql and how to use it with ProBoards Maybe someone should write a tutorial on it

I might adapt the php to asp.net for my uses. Credit will still be given to you for this js and original concept.
