Despite George Lucas's claim to end all Star Wars movies, an article from earlier this year on The Force.net has given ground to the very good possibility that there will be a 7th Star Wars movie. Only, it will not revolve around ANY of the normal characters. In fact, it's set into the deep past and takes place in the era of Knights of the Old Republic. Apparently, George Lucas himself started this rumor.
Do you think it's at all possible that we will see another movie? If so, do you think it's a good idea to introduce all new characters into a whole new plotline?

No, I trust GL and he said "Star Wars: ROTS was going to be his last" unless it was directed by a differant director. (which would be lame!) but then again eveyone is full of surprises so you never know..

(which would be lame!) but then again eveyone is full of surprises so you never know.. Episodes 5 and 6 were by different directors. So, it's not that improbable that it would in fact be a new face directing it. It would be better if the KotOR game directors had a large say in it, IMO.

I haven't heard this but starting in 2007 each movie will be rereleased in 3D one a year for 6 years.

I guess.. but rumor has it that GL is not going to direct VII, VIII, or IX I don't think VII, VIII, and IX will ever be made. Mainly because they revolve around the usual SW characters, and most of them don't seem up for doing those movies anymore.

Actually he planned to make it up to episode 9. heard that one in a trivia pursuit question.

I don't think they should make any more. Going to Far into the Past would be a whole new Movie.

I don't think this movie is such a good idea. I mean, the Star Wars tale has been told. I see no point of making any more movies unless they are going into the Expanded Universe and make 7,8, and 9.
Also, don't forget there will be a weekly TV SW series focusing on more minor characters in 2007. Perhaps things like how Han met Chewy, how Bobba Fett came to be a bounty hunter, Lando getting the Falcon, ect?
But a movie with all new characters just seems to commercial to me, like milking the franchise and will have nothing to do with anything, in my opinion.
