i know that i first have to get government premission and a permit. but i have alot of other questions. 1. where can i get the right food? 2. what kind of enrichment should i get for the cheetah? 3. should i have the canines cut like i would a dog jusat incase it got rabbies? 4. what should i do to keep my horse safe? 5. at what age should i get it from the wild? all these questions are vitial to my if i want to have a cheetah as a pet.

Cheetas are some of the world's most beautiful wild animals. They aren't pets. You can forcibly keep one in captivity but it will never be a pet. Given that they aren't exactly thriving in the wild why in the world would you even want to think about taking one out of the wild and destroy it in captivity?

I'm pretty sure that is a very bad idea.
Especially since I'm sure cheetahs are endangered species. I don't think that would be allowed.
You do know that those cute little cheetah cubs grow up, right?

I'd stick with a kitty kitty If and when you could get a cheetah, unless you have two, just think how miserable it'd be. I think its best if you just left it at the zoo and in the jungle

You should never keep an animal like that as a pet. That's just wrong on so many levels. Plus, even if you have it as a pet, it's still a wild animal. You'd get hurt.

It is far better to spend the money on a few trips to the countries these animals live in and see them in their natural enviroment. Perhaps even getting involved in conservation work with these wilds animals as well. For me that would be better than keeping something thats born to be Wild.

Domestic cats are just as cuddly and nowhere near as dangerous.
I'm sure a cheetah would be massively expensive to own, even for a zoo, let alone an individual.

Did you know there's an artist called Eric Wilson who paints great pictures of wildlife? He sometimes takes cards with his art into an art shop I visit sometimes.

If anyone gave a 17 year old a cheetah, they should be hung from their toes, covered in honey, and have ants poured over them (and that's just for starters...) A cheetah is a wild animal. No amount of training will ever take that away. Are you prepared to clean up its monstrous poops? Are you prepared to have it spray foul smelling urine? Are you prepared to provide a huge area for its exercise? "Obtaining permits to own or breed cheetahs is a difficult and expensive process even for top zoos; if you want a pet cheetah you are out of luck, but you can explore opportunities to help protect the future of these beautiful cats."
