I like that first one.. I wish I had a camera with me the other night when I was leaving to work and this little field owl was standing on my mail box.. Had the cutest look on his face too. He seemed quite tame as he didn't fly off when I was back out but looked at me with curiousity...

Tonight at work was like National Geographic at it's best! We saw a skunk, two wild cats (kitties), a bunch of deer, and the not-so-rare drunken idiot ;D
All of which in their natural environment ;D

They're very majestic creatures, I would be very happy to have them in my backyard, or to see them in the flesh.

He seemed quite tame as he didn't fly off when I was back out but looked at me with curiousity... It's Murphy's Law. When you don't have your camera, you get all the good sightings. There seems to be a lot of chromatic aberration in the photos. Also, they seem really really soft. I know it's not my eyes since I recently got my glasses. The eagles were 40' up in a tree, and I was about 100' away from the tree. This was through my spotting scope and the sun was behind the tree. It's a wonder I got any shots at all. I took 115 shots, and these were the only ones that really came out halfway decent. Someday I'll be able to afford the big lenses for my camera, but for now I'm stuck shooting through a spotting scope.
