Now this is just my opinion. This is who I consider the top 10 female power vocalists. They will be in exact order for me . Who are yours and please give a brief reason why .
1. Ann Wilson -I do not believe there is anyone with the power and range this woman has , and still sound extremely Melodic.
2.Grace Slick-This woman can be extremely Hardcore and still have her vocals flow like softer vocalists. Which I think is an extreme talent.
3. Bonnie Tyler- She has Range and Power . He voice in my opinion is totally hypnotic she just draws you in. However her voice reminds me of Rod Stewarts in some ways. Only difference is she is female.
4.Sarah Brightman- Her voice is mostly soft and flowing. However she can rock the house depending on the song.
5.Stevie Nicks- She has extreme power , just raw power .
6. Celine Dion-her range and power make her one of the best female vocalists of all time.
7. Tina Turner- The woman just plain rocks.
8.Vanessa Williams-Colour of the Wind enough said.
9.Joan Jett- She is not only an outstanding Power Vocalists. The woman can rock on the guitar as well.
10.Lita Ford- More known for her outstanding guitar playing. The woman does have some lungs on her.
Honorable Mention- Cindi Lauper- Waiting for a change of heart enough said.
Another Honorable Mention- Dale Bozzio - Walking in LA , and Ain't None of your business .

I have to agree with your numbers: 5,6,7,8,9, and 10. I would also include Jewel for her haunting drama in her music, as well as Sarah McLaghlin, and the lead singer of Evanescence.
I have to say that the other reason for Jewel and Sarah in my choices, is because nothing is more attractive to me than an empowered woman. With the lead singer of Evanescence, her music emplies a yearning and strength similar to early Lita Ford (just the feeling of her voice in her early years, not any actual songs that point to this)...

I agree for the most part. I don't know a whole lot about them all. But I agree when judging from what I do know.

1. Kelly Clarkson - she's my favorite female singer, and her vocal range is astounding. 2. Mariah Carey - also with a powerful set of lungs and an amazing range. 3. Christina Aguilera - I don't agree with her sense of style, but she's got a great voice. 4. Tina Turner - 'nuff said. 5. Vanessa Williams - have to agree, that was a great song there. 6. Lea Salonga - more known for her singing voice as Mulan and Jasmine - but she was excellent in Miss Saigon too. 7-10 ~ Meh, I don't listen to enough music to have more.
