It shouldn't because they don't load until clicked on Technically, they seem to load like images until they're clicked on. You can disable images. ..but what I'm getting at is that you can't disable YouTube's video image which is ironic.

You are not allowed to resize the ad. You can resize the video if you want. YouTube videos are small as it is, so making them smaller is just stupid. Why could you not place the ads either above or below the video?

Bah this explains why I get page stretches when I embed YT clips on forums that had a pre-existing code

The idea itself is great and thank you proboards for improving on your service.
The new youtube feature though is completely useless for me. I use the code to enable videos in a specific board of the forum. I don't want the forum to become "a 2nd youtube". The code allowed me to enable video posting in certain parts and I don't mind guests youtubing their brains out there.
It would be very nice if proboards would implement the feature to disable their own feature or allow it for certain boards only.
Until then I will have to use a little "workaround": Disable proboards feature with the help of the censored words list, thus being able to have the forum work as it did before with the custom made code only.
This seems to be the only way for youtube videos to be posted where I allow guests to post them.

I just thought you should all know that ProBoards now supports YouTube videos in posts. Updates are going out to all servers real quick here. Patrick Yay!!!

Why isn't the option ''watch in high quality'' available on the videos?

Will there be any sort of work around for those that pay for ad-free boards? I am always up for new features and such, however, paying for an ad-free board as I have for quite sometime -- seems a bit pointless now -- especially knowing that my board will now be riddled with youtube ads once they are posted.
Previously, I was using the socal youtube code ... where it worked beautifully and without ads.
Consequently, this new installment is making me rethink paying for an ad-free board.
Hopefully, some sort of middle ground can be found for those that pay on a monthly basis to have a nice clean ad-free board.

I believe I read somewhere that paying for ad-free also gets rid of the youtube ads.

Ad-free boards don't have ads. No one said anything about adding new advertisements to boards that are ad-free.

I am dialup, so videos are useless to me. I won't be able to view them or make sure there is no content that can get me deleted. I will be relying on my staff to do this. I would hate to lose the board for this reason, when it is nothing I can even work with.

I think PBS staff knows you well enough that if someone posted a non-acceptable vid, you would be allowed time to remove it Joy!
