HELP! I'm having trouble installing Sims 2 on both my computer (Windows Vista) and my fiance's (Windows XP). So far, we have all of the other expansion packs installed in order of release up to the Seasons one, but for some reason we can't get either computer to install it!
I even tried a manual install and got the same error message both times. Here's what I get: An error occurred while trying to install file 'C:\Disk Images\Disk1\TSBin\ijl15.dll' from the Sims 2 Seasons. Would you like to retry or cancel the installation?
I don't understand why it's happening. If you could figure it out and get it working, I'll give you a big glass of milk and a cookie. ^^

Yes, I've tried but you really can't do much without signing up on the site and registering your games. I don't want to register them at this point in time, so the Sims 2 website it basically useless...unfortunately.

Try installing it via the other one; I had the same issue installing with my desktop, and switching to the burner drive solved the issue.

I did check there, and the only problems they have listed is the ones that have trouble installing after they've uninstalled and had it on that computer already. Mine was never used on either of these computers, and it isn't working. It's a slightly different problem that they don't touch on that I had seen. I've been searching those boards almost all day.

That would have been a good idea too. I only wish that were the issue.

However if your copy is a burned and not on original media, that could be your issue.

I bought it from Target when it first came out, and I've installed it on my sister's computer and a friend's computer just fine, but for some reason it won't go on mine and my fiance's computer.
That's what it sounds like to me as well, Austen. But, I don't know how to fix it.

Do you have trouble with any other disks in either computer?

Do you have trouble with any other disks in either computer? Yes, I tried cleaning the disk before installing. I originally thought that was the issue. Both of our computers meet the requirements for the expansion pack. We don't have trouble playing or installing any other disk related material. DVD's, other PC games and music CD's aren't a problem. Even the other Sim expansions work wonderfully. It's just the Sims 2 Seasons that's giving us a problem.
