Activation problems for new members

Since Pro-Boards updated all the sites earlier this year, there have been bugs. The most troubling has been that new members are not being sent an e-mail as before to activate their accounts. Is there any practicle solution to this?

make sure you check your junk emails

proboards have problems with aol as they dont seem to be recieving emails.

make sure your incoming email filters arent on high and please give up to 24 hours

I applied to become a member of this site. Received an e-mail with my activation code; clicked on it thinking I might be accepted.
Typed in my username and password but I only get a screen that states: Account pending approval...... awaiting approval from a staff member. This has been going on for about a week? Is there something I am missing to click on to finish the process?
I am able to ask questions in certain forums as a guest; but the area that interests me the most is off limits. Thanks

Ask anyone with the power to approve accounts (generally the admins) to approve your account in admin --> View Pending Accounts.
