I'd do it for the lulz.
Well, actually, it would let me exercise my sixth freedom. Freedom to kill.(Sam Fisher ftw) So yeah. I would be on board.

I couldn't. The only way I would kill someone is if my life depended on it (like if they had a gun pointed at me or something), but even then, I would try to get them to put the gun down before doing anything. Living with someone's blood on my hands would be too much for me.

How much do they pay? ;D In all seriousness, most capital punishment cases are so clear that the person did it, that I would not have a problem performing the task.

No. I have a conscious. I think the punishment should match the crime, but I could never be the one to participate in that. If it came to life and death between me and someone else, I think I could fight to save myself, but I still think the overwhelming guilt would drive me mad, if I caused someone's death.

I don't think I could ever do something like that. Like someone else mentioned here, even in a life-or-death situation, I'd prefer to try everything else before killing someone in order to defend myself. Even though I full believe some criminals deserve what they get, I'm pretty sure I couldn't be the one to kill them in return. As the saying goes, I'd just be doing the same thing they did!

I would be an executioner, just for the experience and the job item on the resume.

I find it interesting that many are for the death penalty, yet none want the task. Reminds me of those who are against abortion, yet won't adopt the unwanted kids or pay taxes for their care.

By the time they get to that point they have been proven guilty. I wouldn't have a problem with it I don't think. But then again, I've not been in the situation, so I really don't know if I could do it or not

No. I don't want the blood to ruin my clothes. And that whole feeling guilty part.

I... don't really know.
I'm a strong believer in 'an eye for an eye', and especially in Canada, as we have no death penalty. I think it's unfair to the families, knowing that their loved ones suffered and that the killer gets to spend the rest of his days in a prison cell, rather than suffering the likes of what he inflicted on others. (Or she, I'm not necessarily being gender-specific).
But actually killing someone... I don't know. Unless they did something truly awful, I think I'd back out. If they were proven beyond a doubt to be some twisted monster... I think I'd be able to do it then.

I would have no problem adopting someone else's child, and I paid taxes for years. For that matter, I used to help sponsor a child from another country. That is promoting life not ending it. If someone else gets themselves in a predicament because of stupid choices, I might agree they need punished, but I do not have to be a participant in it anymore than I was a participant in their stupid life. I don't think these compare at all.

Is this a trick question? Would anyone really respond to this saying yes? Edit: Nevermind, I should have read the second page.

Yeah, I would have no problem doing it. Heck I'm all for killing anyone with a life sentence without chance for parole. However I have been told I am rather cold, heartless, and extremely detached. I've even considered contract killing as a viable career.
