Ok! I thought I would get a bit of input here, but first I want to explain some things so that assumptions are not made 1) This ad type is 100% optional. All forums will keep the 728x90 banner as the default. No need to panic, and no action needs to be taken by you to keep the current ad format. 2) This is not released yet to any forums except support. 3) This ad comes with an extra feature - it will display anywhere from 0-7 of the most recent topics you have posted in (admin's option in the settings area), and give you the option to include your own custom message to the right of the ad. This is a great way to keep up on topics that you are participating in. Why are we offering this ad format? The main reason we are offering this ad size is some forums resize their forum to have a very small width. For these forums, our normal 728x90 banner ad does not fit into their layout. This new option gives you more flexibility when designing your layout moving forward. Further, some forums may prefer the additional feature which fits in nicely next to the ad. Questions, comments, concerns: go for it.

Have anything to do with it? Can we remove that and keep the same ad width?

Do the These are the most recent topics you have participated in: Have anything to do with it? Can we remove that and keep the same ad width? Yes, you will be able to remove all the text to the right of the ad and put your own text in. We will also let you put different text for guests and logged in users.

The point is you can choose the ad format that best suits your forum's layout. edit: Just to note, I already prefer this new ad format myself because I can see from any page that someone has replied to one of my posts, which is great.

No codes and JS for welcoming guests? Sounds good to me.

That's just not possible, everyone would pick 1x1 pixels We work off industry standard ad sizes.

I actually think the "These are the most recent topics you have participated in:" should just be a button and a drop down should appear. An extra button added into the menu, but the option should be enabled or disabled. I get you now, in the future it would be sweet to see a option that lets you adjust the ads to any size you wish to. That's just not possible, everyone would pick 1x1 pixels We work off industry standard ad sizes. Limit the smallest size. Like to 500 or 450.

The ad/recent topics table doesn't appear to be centered on the page. Will we be able to center it?

I actually think the "These are the most recent topics you have participated in:" should just be a button and a drop down should appear. An extra button added into the menu, but the option should be enabled or disabled. Part of the point is that with this ad format there is extra vertical space next to the ad which we need to fill up. You will have the option to pick how many recent threads to show, and you could technically write a code to do what you want. We put an id on the table cell so it is easily referenced with JavaScript, and all the links to threads are within a <ul>. Should be quite easy for the coders to do something with it. The ad/recent topics table doesn't appear to be centered on the page. Will we be able to center it? It is currently set to be lined up with the left side just like the rest of the page is. We originally tried to center that area but it just did not look good that way.
