Transparent welcome table background, not menu?

I'm trying to figure out how to keep the welcome table background transparent behind the header image, but make the background behind the menu buttons NOT transparent. I know it's possible because I did it a while ago on ACCIDENT before I decided that I'd prefer to have the background color not transparent. And now I can't get it to go back. Any help?

A: Turn your auto-gradients on via your skins
or

B: Add this to your global headers:(change the blue to the color you want)

To nowdocking; I tried using that, and I couldn't get it to work correctly with the other codes we have that affect the welcome table. It was either looking like it is now, with a transparent welcome table and transparent menu bg, or color behind both. I couldn't seem to work it so that it was color behind one and transparent behind the other.

For tumbleweed; I'd love to be able to use that, but we have different skins wait...we're also using remote code hosting. I suppose that takes care of it then. :3
