Forum URL: sev6.proboards31.comHow long does it take for violations to be assessed and deleted? I posted on a board who stole my headers/footers and my gradients from the site below to remove the images or that their board will be deleted. Well, they simply changed the images by putting an awful red brush over my headers/footers and they didn't even change the gradients. Would this be enough to cause for a violation and deletion? So you'll have to wait for 24 to 72 hours for your report to be looked at by the TOS department. If you provide all the proof of the violation action would be taken. Posting those 2 links here in my opinion isn't enough.

There is quite of bit of evidence that I can use to support that he stole them. I was absent minded and forgot to take a screen shot before I posted the warning, but I have proof that he came to my site multiple times, prior to me going to his. You will also be able to see, if you are a PB admin, that he deleted a thread by 'jesusfreak' a guest in his General board, which was me stating that he stole my images and that he should remove him. He didn't remove them, he just edited them a bit, which still does not cut it for the copyright given to me by www.copyright.gov, which implies that I own the right to that image because I created the image and gave no one permission to use it.

You just have to wait. Or the board doesn't get deleted. It is not identical to your board. Neither in coding nor in gradients. I must admit that the boards look alike, but I don't think it is enough for a violation.

All he did was add a really bad brush stroke to the header and delete the animation on the footer. The grads are exactly the same.

When did you send in the Violation? Sent it about two to three days prior to your post Craig, thanks for looking into it. Ok, that would have been over the weekend. TOS violations sent over the weekend will not be dealt with until monday-tuesday of the following week. But looking at the boards, i can see why it would not have been deleted.

Ug, I shouldn't have warned him, he had the EXACT header/footer as me when I turned in the ToS violation and then he deleted my post (as you can see I was the last member to sign up) about him changing his images. I didn't want him to simply delete some of the effects, I wanted him to make his own images. All he did was save the images from my site and add or take away from 'em.
But, oh well - suppose it doesn't matter that much. He did take from my site, did you see my stats page?

As far as i know, using the only images i see the same, as long as he is hosting them himself, would not break any copyright laws, and falls under the fair-use policy.

Not to be annoying, but...what would be considered a violation, for future reference?

Not to be annoying, but...what would be considered a violation, for future reference? It would be if someone used YOUR images (images that you made) and colors and thingsas far as board conyent goes im not sure about that

Not to be annoying, but...what would be considered a violation, for future reference? Well, a gradient is basically just two colours fading intoeachother, and could be made with a program, or alot of people. www.digital-inflection.com/forum/bannerv5.gifThat would be deemed a violation.
