Ok, I was reading on Google, but no for sure replies. I was wondering if you can use an iPhone 3GS on the Net10 network? I know I'd have to unlock the phone, which is quite easy. But would it be possible? I have not bought the iPhone, and wont for awhile. But I was just wondering. today I bought a phone, and got the Unlimited card for $50 and the phone for $15. It's an LG320G - c3llphone.com/images/Net_10/LG_320G.jpgThough even though I got it today, I already broke it. xD The SIM card got blocked, and I don't know how. So I called net10 and they are sending me a free SIM card, and I will have to reactive it again. But it's a nice little phone. and cheaper to for what I am paying with US Cellular. Though it does not have a camera, which sucks. But I'd have to pay $30 for the phone that does. But it will do til, I get $60 to pay for a qwerty keyboard phone. Eh, it's very iffy. Net 10 (TracFone) runs primarily on AT&T's GSM network. The iPhone 3GS also runs on that network (technically EDGE, an enhanced version of GSM, but the device is backwards compatible with regular GSM), so there is a compatibility between them. That's the good news. The bad news is that TracFone is only sub-leasing the network. This means their phones get very basic features. Calling, texting, very limited old school web browsing that costs a ridiculous amount--this is all you get, and this is why their rates are so low. If you aren't in a wifi hotspot, your iPhone would be absolutely crippled. Downloading apps, playing online, or media streaming? Ha! No. They also require their phones to run their own software. I've inquired before and was straight-up told you can't swap SIM cards and you can't use a phone that doesn't run their firmware. If they find out you've managed to do so, you run the risk of having your service terminated. Slightly better news is that there are rumors being spread that Apple might be releasing a prepaid iPhone, likely to be announced this June. Verizon does have prepaid plans, but I don't know if a prepaid phone would make it to AT&T or TracFone. You might want to hold out until June to see what happens, but I can't vouch for the validity of those rumors. If it is only on Verizon, you are legally entitled to have your phone number transferred to different carriers (I believe for free, but you could be out of service for up to a week). Don't expect it to cost $15, though. It'll likely be a full $500 iPhone 4 or 5.

Ahh ok, thanks. I'll wait til June. But I don't want to pay that amount! D= lol. and xD I like how you put "4 or 5" I said the same about the iPod 4. As soon as I get the iPod 4, they'll announce the release date for 5th Gen iPods. xD
