It's really none of our business if it's working out for her and her family then bravo, it's not our place to try to say she's the one that's wrong sadly though members love doing that here. Maybe she doesn't want to go into full detail because it's something private. Thank you. I tried saying that before but it got ignored. Talking about my brother isn't even on topic of the thread. This thread isn't about my brother.

This thread isn't about my brother. I'm sorry, that it somehow got diverted into the topic of your brother. People get distracted easily. I'll post about my friend's problem with Truancy, as, she gave me permission. Well, like me, she is a sickly person, and so, again like me, made sure to miss no more than 9 days. She had them all excused. But for some reason, she got called to court for a hearing on her absences. Turns out, the school thinks that she missed over 20 days, when really, a lot of those were school trips and volleyball games. After a little while, the court recognized that and dismissed the case. Her parents actually felt like suing the school. But they didn't. (I believe my school -- or rather my old school -- should get sued. They are discriminatory, and emo-phobic. For some reason, they think the color black is a disease, when really, it's just a popular color. I'm not saying I'm emo, (I'm far from that, believe me) but I do love black. My school just has to much crap going on, and they don't give a flipping care for their students. That is why many people are moving away rather than moving in the school. But back to attendance. They are way too harsh in my opinion. I won't give the name of my school (OLD school. o.O), because I'm paranoid. ;D

They're not 'overly' strict around here. You're required to telephone the school if your child is going to be absent through illness, or it will go down on record as an 'unauthorised' absence. Appointments and other reasons for not attending school require either a appointment card or note from the parent to be presented.
You're not allowed to take your child out of school in order to go on vacation/holidays...unless it's special circumstances.
If you forget to phone the school when your child is ill, they will usually phone you.

Okay guys that's enough. I asked for other schools punishment on this not your opinions on my brother.@\/\/332 You don't know my brother. He is not a brat. I also STATED that he SHOULDN'T have done that in the gym that day. He suffers with depression and social anxiety as well as learning disabled so I suggest think about what you say next time. If he is learning disabled, I would think the school would work with him a little more than they would anyone else. Saying that I know if it is a school with a large student body, they might not have the time for this. dont they send you to a special school if you have learning disabled?

Not necessarily a special school but if you have absolute proof, which they require for learning disabilities they put you in special classes

Wow. This scares me. In my school, or rather my educational board, you must have minimum attendance of 70% (65% under special circumstances like major illnesses) - excused or unexcused isn't really relevant, though our school expects a note from the parents and/or doctor for each and every absence. If you don't have this much attendance they don't let you write the finals.
