This plugin is no longer available or supported. This plugin will allow you to show messages for the user across your forum, allowing you to set who can see them, and various other options.
Important: The Yootil Library is required Library: www.proboards.com/library/plugins/item/28- Multiple Messages - Permission Messages (guests, members) - User Specific Messages - Category / Board specific messages - Main Page Only - Enable / Disable option - Customise look - HTML supported in title and message body - Option to not parse new lines - Members can now hide / show messages from the Yootil Bar. - Show for forum group - Prompt when deleting messages - Replacement variables for title and message ({name}, {username}, {posts}, {status}, {rank}) Note: Images are a little outdated now

This plugin works correctly, but you could add more options to it. Such as displaying a message to a certain user group. Or an option to make individual messages expire after the user reads them. Overall, good job with this plug-in.

Hi, Peter
I like this plugin - Currently have on my beta board Could it be possible or have an option to center align the "Message Title" So it will show center or have an option so can show it to the left or center or to the right = The Message Title

Wow! I like the improvements a lot easier adding the messages And thank you for adding the title alignment
A question: on settings it has if you want to show it elsewhere to add the element ID If I wanted to just show a message on a particular board What part of ID would I add? so a message would just show on that board If it's possible to do that not sure of ID of the board to enter.
Thanks again Steve

The ID is a container ID. So if you didn't want the messages to show at the top of your forum, you can specify an element ID to where they get appended to. I will most likely drop that setting for something much better. I could easily allow you to select categories / boards for messages to appear. If I find time over the weekend, I'll make the changes. Just respond to this topic over the weekend to remind me, though no promises

Clicking on hyperlink to Register page just returns guest to forum and not to registration page. This is the code I used for link: <a href=“https://www.proboards.com/register/2853554”>Register for free here.</a> The whole message I created is: Join our Smashwords Forum and meet other Smashwords authors, promote your ebooks, ask questions or offer help. <b>It's all free!</b> <a href=“https://www.proboards.com/register/2853554”>Register for free here.</a> When link in message is clicked the URL in forum turns to smashwordstest.freemessageboards.com/%E2%80%9Chttps://www.proboards.com/register/2853554%E2%80%9D

Thanks again Steve Hi Steve, Decided to quickly add in support for showing messages in specific categories and boards. Would you mind giving it some testing, and letting me know. I did do some testing, but another pair of eyes would be good. pixeldepth.net/proboards/plugins/global_messages/global_messages_2.1.0.pbp

I have a suggestion - To perhaps update the main page of this plugin To say use HTML ONLY! When adding messages! codes scripts won't work
Or something added when a user pasts a code/script it will say USE HTML ONLY before saving
don't know if that's possible just a suggestion
