If you do decide to add something like that, any chance we could get a separate award "information" box? Like: Award Name: Award Image Url: Award Information: It would be nice to be able to go into some detail as to what the award is for and why/how it was given, without putting it all into the title. It's possible. It would require a bit of a re-write and I'd need to find a way to keep the new version of the plugin compatible with the current edition. It could seriously restrict the amount of awards you could use though. If I do go down the autoform route, there'd be no way you could save your award information and re-add it to a newer version at a later date either.. You would always need to add each award one at a time, either copying and pasting of manually typing each one in. Not to compare two very different plugins, but I think a lot of us have become somewhat spoiled by Peter's Monetary Shop plugin and it's robust features. I have both the Shop and the Awards plugins on my forum, they both co-exist nicely, and I put some effort into setting up the mini-profile template so they both display like cohesive parts of a whole forum system; but they do serve different functions, and you can't really use his Shop for Awards effectively. At the same time, some of those features would be nice for this plugin to have. As for restricting the amount of rewards, I would be fine if it required an additional key. Maybe, and I don't want to make more work for you, but maybe have two different versions of this plugin? A basic version and a more advanced deluxe version? I know some plugin developers have gone that route...

Todge"Any staff member with the ability to alter member profiles can give or take awards, go to the member's profile and you should see a new tab entitled 'Awards', click it and you will have a new page with the awards listed in the top area, with the awards the member has already received in the bottom area, just click on the relative image in either area to give or take that award. Make as many changes as you need, and when finished, click save." Is there a way to limit this so that only the administrator can award these? There is indeed.. In the plugin Key Settings, in the setting 'Who can write to everything...', select 'Custom', leave 'Users can write to their own content:' and 'Only members with the minimum rank:' un-ticked and 'Optional', then click on 'Add Group' next to the 'And members in the groups:' option, and select 'Administrator', then click 'Done'. Now your moderators will be able to see the 'Awards' tab, but will not be able to give or take any awards, only administrators can. I've changed this as suggested, however, now none of the members can see the awards they've been given. I want it so everyone can still see the awards that the members have on display, but so only admin (or certain groups) can actually see the awards tab and give the members the awards.

You have edited the plugin's permissions, you need to go into the management area of the plugin, and click on the 'Key Settings' tab at the end, and edit the settings in there instead.

Todge, I'm having problems with these plug ins. I just installed the latest versions of the awards and the notification and can't get the popup to work. I get notified at other sites I go to that use these and I have compared my profile settings with those sites and I am set up the same way at my site. Anything else you can think of that of that I might try? trueblueliberty.com/

Ok, I went to my secndary account today and got the popup. Still nothing with the admin account. So, my first question is, does it give the admin a popup too or not? Next question. Is there a way for some awards to be automatic? I can't imagine a large site with a lot of members and trying to keep track of when each member hit 100 posts or some such. I had no problem closing the window by clicking ok. One click and gone. Thanks.

That is strange, all this plugin does is compare key data and pops up an alert if there's a difference, there is nothing that can go wrong... I assume that the awards plugin is working correctly?

END That will be difficult, that version of the plugin has long gone. Have you tried installing the earliest version of the plugin available in the library (version 2.2.2)?

Sry for not searching an option for previous releases that are still available! Was freaked out by fact how it looks now, cose in my case, it really doesn't look good. The latest working version on my board is 2.4.1 - April 21 2014 while any after till v2.4.9 (that has X & OK) fails. Glad that original look is back, again. Thanks a lot! Login out... END

blc and cvekiboy, good to know everything is sorted for you both, and blc, the pop-up should appear even for the admin, I have no idea why it should be failing for you. That plugin is due to be developed further at some point, so hopefully after the rewriting it will sort itself out.

Edit: Todge, I do have a question or request if you are adding things and perhaps this has already been asked or requested. It it possible for you to allow the admin to choose the size of the popup window? I finally had the popup show up for me as admin and its small and required scrolling up and down as well s left and right. I thought there was a way to adjust it in the plug in, but when I looked, I didn't see anything. Maybe I missed it.

Yup, I can add that.
You can also drag the window out rather than scroll if you prefered, but resizing will be added as an option.
