Well the code was already in the new version so didn't have to try to fix it myself I added the code to the style sheet with the names of the second boxes on both sides but when adding a third box that too will have a huge gap to the second box even though i would like to have it just a few pix from box #2. Would it be possible to add a function that allwos you to set the distance between the boxes? If not what can I do to only have the gap between the first and second box and then let the rest below the second box have a "normal" gap? Are you referring to the spacing option? That sets the distance between all of the boxes universally for that sidebar. If you want to set the gap after an individual box, place this at the bottom of your style sheet: Substitute your-custom-id with the ID you gave the box in your plugin settings and change 10px to your preferred distance after your box. Thanks very much Brian much appreciated Yes, if you could do the scroll thing one day that would be even better! Cheers How does today sound? 1.3.0 is now available with this functionality.

Hey, My Name is Billy Moonstone. 1. Make sidebar fixed when screen is scrolling downThis is possible, but it requires that the sidebar be towards the top of your page when you load it. I can't make it scroll like the pagination bar at the moment (where it stays on the page with you and only scrolls when necessary). I may attempt to work this into the plugin in the future since more than one person has requested it. 2. Have a title bar on sidebar containers but without any text in the titleNormally leaving the field blank works, but since your theme seems to require text to make it work... simply type as the title. This is the same as typing a space, but the browser will force it to render as opposed to typing a space normally and the browser discarding it. 3. I only want to display the sidebars on the home pagePlace this code in your Global Header: Hi Brian this is brilliant! The sidebar is perfect now in terms of fixed when scrolling down The blanking out text in the sidebar titles works a treat too The ' only display sidebar on home page' request I made is a problem though, at least in Safari 5.1.7. Putting that code in Global headers does work - keeps it on the home page but gets rid of it everywhere else. But, when looking at any page other than the home page, a few seconds after the page has loaded the board snaps to the right to about half its size - see screenshot This only seems to happen for me in Safari, it works fine in Firefox so a browser issue? Is there a way around it? I wondered whether if the plugin itself was editable (rather than header/footer code) this would make it more stable cross-browser? I've also got to sort out the title bar height but I think I should be able to do this from the help you've given me already on resizing titles Thanks bud Attachments:

Looking good. I'm not sure what could be causing that. I don't have access to Safari to test it, so there's not much I can do about it. Maybe I'll make an alternate version of my plugin that's only for the main page to circumvent that problem.

Thanks Brian I don't know how hard that would be but if you did that would be great. I'm going to try them on the right side now - never had sidebars before and don't know which side is meant to be best Thanks again

Hi Brian I've been trying all sorts to sort out the problem with Safari but I've not got anywhere - I even tried pasting your code into different places in the Global Header of the plugin itself (in Build) but this didn't seem to do much. Do you think you will ever do one that is just for the home page? Or is there anything else that you can suggest that I try? Is there anything I can edit in the plugin itself that might do it?

Hiya Brian. I added the #your-custom-id { margin-bottom: 10px; } code you gave me to the style sheet and altered it to align as it should and it worked great. Now that i started to add things to the boxes the alignment shifted so i went to the style sheet and altered the amount of px while watching the preview window to see that they are perfect and when they were i saved it and then went to check how it looked and nothing has happend to them. No matter how much I change the px numbers nothing happens but when i remove the code box #2 goes back up to box #1 but it refuses to align with the board as it shows in the preview window. What am I doing wrong here?

What am I doing wrong here? If you add content to the box, the moment it goes to a new line the height of the container increases. Since the bottom of the container is now farther down, the margin-bottom's origin begins at the new bottom. Changing the numbers should allow you to realign the box. If you place the content back inside the boxes, I can tell you what margin you'll need to align both sides' second boxes with the board.

Only got the left side up atm but you can see the board here Still haven't fixed the banner so I hope that won't mess with the sidebar settings later when i do. Added the pic with a link attached to it in the first box and then added the text with links in it in the second box, went to the style sheet and altered the pixels so they aligned the boxes with the board in the preview window on the right side of the style sheet but when watching the "real" board nothing has happend. Edit: ATM they are set to #leftbox2 { margin-top: 217px; } - #rightbox2 { margin-top: 365px; } which should be correct according to the style sheet. Edit2: Ok. used chrome to alter the settings incase it is an IE problem and changed em to #leftbox2 { margin-top: 186px; } #rightbox2 { margin-top: 339px; } which aligned them as i wanted in the preview window and saved but still doesn't do as it should when i get back to the board and check.

Okay so when I put the new version on my site, and copied over the data exactly the way it was, the first box comes out blank.. I'm not sure why.. well not blank but the text is white font and double spaced Link: crime-punishment.freeforums.net/

#leftbox should be 125px.
#rightbox currently works at 272px.

Hi Brian Ordonez, I seem to be having a problem with your side tables. Whenever I enable the tables the forum alignment goes crazy and cuts off half my banner, even when there's still plenty of room to expand to the right. Is there a way to move everything to the far left so that this does not occur? I've tried playing around with the spacing, but nothing seems to work. Thanks. hiddeninthestars.freemessageboards.com/
