"To Bottom" button

I would like the word Bottom next to reply like I had in V4.

This is what I had V4 RedBassett.

Go to Structure > Layout Templates > Thread. Replace this section of code:

        {if $[reply_button]}
            <ul class="controls"><li>$[reply_button]</li></ul>
        {/if}

With this:

        <ul class="controls">
        {if $[reply_button]}
        <li style="display: inline-block; padding-right: 8px;"><a onclick="scroll(0,document.body.scrollHeight);">To Bottom</a></li><li style="display: inline-block;">$[reply_button]</li>
        {/if}
        </ul>

I take it that this can also be mod'd for 'To Top' and can a image be placed where the text is?

Yep.

Find this in Structure > Layout Templates > Thread > Quick Reply:

<ul class="controls"><li>$[reply_button]</li></ul>

And replace it with:

<ul class="controls">
<li style="display: inline-block; padding-right: 4px;"><a onclick="scroll(0,0);">Back to Top</a></li>
{if $[reply_button]}<li style="display: inline-block;">$[reply_button]</li>{/if}
</ul>

For each of the codes, you can just replace the Back to Top/To Bottom text with a standard <img> tag.

I also updated the To Bottom code since it wasn't working right if the URL had a page/scrollTo in it.

Brian I was wondering when I changed the code why the extra little green square is to the left of the word bottom. I would like to get rid of that.

I'm not seeing that in any of my browsers. Which browser are you using?

Well I'm seeing this after inputing those codes:

and not a problem with IE9

Check your zoom setting I did it on one of mine and it is perfect.

I actually separated the code so as that when on hover mode it only hovers the button and not the combined setting

On Line 4 you're missing the closing </a> after To Top. That line should look like this:
