UPDATED: USEFUL LINKS AND TIPS [18 FEBRUARY]

Here are a few things that I've found useful and thought might help someone else. They're all things Proboards users have helped sort out for other users here in V5 Discussion, which itself is worth browsing at length!

If you're new to V5 and wondering what the heck to do, then I'd also strongly suggest you have a look at the Plugin index compiled by Jordan and also the Template Modification Index compiled by pawl

Anyway, I hope something here gives you an idea or saves you a bit of time: 

• Putting Back To Top link back into each post as in V4 by Brian
• Add a Jump To Bottom link to the tops of Threads by RedBassett
• Remove Last Edited By from edited posts by Xikeon
• Make Shoutbox invisible to guests by Shorty
• Change Profile text from "View This Member's Posts" to something else by Stinky666
• Add the reply number to each post in a Thread/Topic as in V4 by Chris
• Change all regular member's display name link colour but leave staff's alone by Brian
• Add a PM button to all user mini-profiles (the profile that displays next to posts) by pawl
• Add pagination links (the thing that let's you select the next page number in a thread etc) to the bottom of threads by Mabel Pines
• Get rid of things like Remove Birthdays or Most Users Online from Info Centre by RedBassett
• Remove Category Titles from the Home Page by Stinky666
• Make WHOLE of the banner area clickable, not just forum name or logo by Brian
• Move the banner and/or Nav Tree BELOW the adverts by Shrike
• Change text "Forum Information and Statistics" by Stinky666
• Hide Sub-Boards and Moderators on the home page by Chris
• Hide Profile tabs like 'Gift' 'Following' etc by Shorty
• Add a strapline or description under your forum banner by @xsteveuk
• Add a hyperlinked image to a Custom Page by Patrick [ASE]
• Hide all Info Centres except one on Home Page by Shorty
• Get your head around setting your board width by Patrick [ASE]
• Make the Quick Reply font larger by Brian
• Changing your avatar size in posts by Ryan Roos
• Add user avatars to Shouts in Shoutbox by Xikeon
• Change name of Shoutbox to something else by aRMY83
• How to centre titles on a Custom Page when using a HTML box widget by Tressa
• How to put a background image in your reply box by Tumbleweed
• Remember what thread your on - put thread title in action bar by Ryan Roos
• Change the colour of notification bubbles by Stinky666
• Change font size/type for Board Descriptions and Nav Bar by Mabel Pines and Tressa

• Create a 'Guests must login' look like in V4 by Brian

• Move who 'liked' a post from the top to the bottom by Brian
• Remove the word "Board" from under the Category title by Stinky666
• Delete columns from the Member list and, add new custom ones by CheatAreZee and Brian
• Edit the font used when you quote someone's post by Tumbleweed
• Shoutbox: change its width by Brian
• Restrict last post's description to 1 line on home page by Shrike

• Replace the mouseover hover with an image on boards by Stinky666
• Change the background colour of the news feeder by Brian
• Change background colours of columns (threads/posts) etc by Brian
• Select Menus: what are they? A few responses here and some useful mods in the thread, including by Tumbleweed Brian and Peter
• Customise the Visual Editor to allow more specific colour alterations by Brian
• Use a top and bottom image in your Mini Profile by RADesign
