Members cant see to vote in polls

Hi guys

I set up two polls for our members to vote in our competition threads but unfortunately only staff can see or vote in it, this seems to be a recent problem as we have had polls running before without a problem.

This is the original poll I set up







These are the only members who were able to see it and vote, they are all administrators








I logged into my regular member account and this is what I saw






There was the poll icon but no actual poll visible.

I have had to remove the original polls and suspend the voting until this glitch can be resolved.

I have put up a replacement poll from the original in the hope it will help someone solve my problem in this thread

Does anyone have any ideas of how I can resolve this problem please?

Has this been an issue since your forum was upgraded?

We have had one poll running a few weeks ago since the upgrade which was fine and members were voting.

I tried creating the poll in a separate thread but even that didn't work. Polls ran fine before the upgrade but I have noticed that none of the polls in any older threads can be seen either including the one linked above.

Have you made any changes to plugins or the template?

Yes but I only changed colours on the template but I did add the following plugins karma plugin, the global messages, hidden staff edits, Image security, Post icon linked to last post, disable editing after a set time, vpester.

Hi teabags,

I took a look, and it appears there's a plugin that's interfering with the polls. Temporarily disable all of the plugins on your forum to confirm if it does work again for regular members after that. If that is indeed the case, re-enable the plugins in your admin panel one by one until the problem happens again. This will single out the problem plugin and will be able to bring it to the attention of the developer of the plugin to get it fixed

I have been through our plugins and in fact it was in fact the "Image Security" by Todge that was causing the problem

It is late in France so I will report it tomorrow properly unless you wish to do this yourselves.

Glad to hear you were able to narrow it down! The topic for that plugin can be found here. Reply to that and let Todge know there, that way you'll be able to work it out and receive updates for when it's corrected
