ProBoards v5 Officially Launches

It's been a long time coming, and I wanted to personally thank you, the ProBoards community, for helping us make this happen. We're really proud of our new forum software, and we hope you all enjoy the new features.

As the first forum to have converted, I want to say congratulations to Patrick, Martyn, and all the other awesome staff here. You've all worked incredibly long and hard for this. You'll be doing so for a while longer while the last of the bugs get ironed out but it's all downhill from here.

Nice work guys. It's all gone very smoothly so far. Hopefully the bugs we've already found are the main ones. It's finally up and running for everyone (apart from the wimps that have opted out until December) so now's the time to improve and refine a great product.

I believe conversions start when the offices open this morning, but remember that there is still a queue. Forums will be upgraded over the course of the next couple weeks.

Patrick, I can't thank you and your team enough for what you have done with the upgrade to V5. It has completely transformed our forum and there is not one part of it that I haven't thought was considered and well executed.

I've needed to make very few changes as it is just so well put together straight out the box and the mobile site is fantastic too.

Hi Red, would it be adventageous to just go ahead and click upgrade in the admin panel? Would that make it where we would be higher up in the Queue? Or should we just wait so we can still use the forum while we wait? Im not sure how this works.

The conversion of your forum should only take a few minutes, so your forum will be accessible while it is in queue. When it comes time for conversion, your forum will go offline for a little while, and then come back online as a V5 forum.

What difference does the size of the forum make? Mine is larger than quite a few, I suppose, but it's WAY smaller than others. I was only wanting to make the point that it's been a long road to get to today.. no more, no less.
