Proboards Blocked IP Address of our Valuable Forum Member

Greetings,

One of our members has been unable to log into Proboards from his iPad at home... the message always says the server cannot connect. 

He is able to access any other website on his iPad without issues.... only has issues connecting to Proboards.  He is using Safari as his browser on the iPad. 

Any ideas/suggestions/solutions?

It sounds like the user has been blocked. Could you get their IP address from them so that I can check it against our internal security logs?

The member has access to the site from his desktop computer at work... but it's the iPad that's the issue. 

Unfortunately, this member is not the most tech-savvy... and neither am I... so not sure how to obtain his iPad IP addy. 

I am an admin on the relevant proboards site... is there a way I could locate his IP address if he is unable to log in from his iPad?

The member has access to the site from his desktop computer at work... but it's the iPad that's the issue. 

Unfortunately, this member is not the most tech-savvy... and neither am I... so not sure how to obtain his iPad IP addy.

Have the member visit this page: www.whatismyip.com/ and then come tell me what the page says.

The member said he'll get his IP addy for me this evening... I'll PM it to you when available so you can see whether the user has been blocked from proboards for some reason.

my IP address is (removed for privacy).

for some reason its blocked.  Im at the office with the iPad and it logs on fine

I looked it up and can confirm that your IP address has been blocked automatically by our systems due to suspicious activity. Can you recall any particular action that you were doing shortly before you noticed you were no longer able to load the forum anymore? Actions such as constantly refreshing a page, or making multiple posts in a very short period of time?

I can assure you moekid is not up to anything suspicious... he can barely remember what happened the day before.

But if you can please help with his iPad/ IP address issue it would be great because as you can see he drops some hilarious posts and we need him posting in the evenings from home... if for no other reason that to amuse us like a clown.
