sheasmtn1, ProBoards hours are 9 AM to 5 PM PST. During that time, to reach a support admin for help, please use the tech support board. That is where we focus our attention - the coding and development boards are more about community help, so we only check in sometimes. What issue can I help you with?

Well, I have managed to muddle thru most of the issues by myself, but it took forever. The main issue I still have is there is no way to reply from the "most recent posts / threads" area. This makes no sense at all, as most people who regularly keep up with the forum use that feature exclusively. In our case, most members are older & set in their ways & are likely to just give up if it becomes too difficult to figure out. Also the new admin area is NOT very user friendly. It took the better part of the day yesterday for me to get the forum back to something approaching what it was to begin with. And finally, "please use the tech support board. That is where we focus our attention " is all well and good but there was no way for me to know that in advance. A little instruction in the "help" section, referring to that, would have made it a LOT easier for all involved...

sheasmtn1, if you visit this link to our recent posts page here on support, you'll see that every post has a "Quote" button within. Click this button and you'll jump to the appropriate reply page with the quote of the user's post, effectively allowing you to reply via this page. If you're more accustomed to v4's admin panel, please click the Admin button to navigate to your panel and then locate the "legacy" button on this page. We've reconstructed the admin panel as user's knew it in v4 so they have a more comfortable starting point for getting used to the new features. Also, the board description on the main page of this forum state that the support board is for asking questions of the staff, and this board is for talking about ProBoards themes, requesting a theme, or discussing our Theme Library. In the future, please go to the support board and create a new thread if you have questions.

Thanks... I guess I am just not used to this format of "help". I still don't like the lack of a reply button, using the quote button is not always appropriate or in context.

It's possible to have a reply button show in this area if that's what your members are accustomed to, sheasmtn1. Navigate to Admin > Structure > Layout Templates, and locate the Thread template. Click into it, and then click on the Post List tab. Scroll down to about line 20, where you should see <div class="controls">. Directly below that, on its own line, paste the following: {if $[route.name] == "all_recent_posts" || ($[route.name] == "list_posts")} <a href="/post/new/$[post.thread.id]" class="button">Reply</a> {/if} A reply button will show in every post, including on the recent posts page.

Hello Stinky and thanks for the help above. I didn't know how to set the logo before I read that.
Can someone tell me how to make the banner completely transparent please?
Thanks.

Hello Stinky and thanks for the help above. I didn't know how to set the logo before I read that. Can someone tell me how to make the banner completely transparent please? Thanks. I'm not Stinky but you can go to: Admin> Themes> Advanced Styles & CSS> Visual Editor> and click Header (Top), then Forum Banner, then you'll see banner image. Click on the color wheel and in the pop-up there is a "transparent" box you can check.

It's okay, p????lq?n? -- you don't have to be Stinky. ;-)
Thank you very much. I can see I have to explore more, pay more attention, and stop being afraid of breaking something.
Great help. Thanks again.
