I can double the characters to 40.. That will obviously half the possible selections to 8. Will that be enough?

If we reduced the options to 4, how many characters would that allow? 80 characters?

If you only want 4 options, your could safely allow 90 characters.

If you are okay with that, I think that would be the best fit for my forum =3

How do you want them displayed in the posting page?
Any selection with that amount of characters is going to play havoc with the layout.

Hmmm.. they could be stacked instead of in a row? It'd give more room for the options to stretch out.

Stacking them would then do weird things with the dropdowns..
Let me have a little play and see what I can come up with.

Ah, that's true. I'm sorry I'm not of more help than that. x.x Would putting them below the posting page (above the submit button but below the text) help at all? Probably not..

Okidokes.. Give this a try..If you add a <div> with a class of post_stats the stats should also show up in the mini-profiles now.

Since opening my forum up this past week kept me running in circles, I FINALLY got to test this out. Freakin' ridiculous. x.x' Please don't let the delay make you think I don't need or appreciate this plugin, I definitely do and again, thank you so so much. Especially for putting up with me. Mmkay, so on the group exclusion-- the "edit" permissions won't work because that's for "view." I need everyone to be able to see the stats in the mini-profile, just only certain groups be able to have them in their mini-profile (aka see them in the posting page). =/ I noticed when you make a new post in a new thread, meaning all the fields are set to "none," and you go in and click "edit" and add your entry, it doesn't automatically select that entry. You have to then go back into the field and select the entry you just made. Since most people assume it'd be selected by default, I can picture them missing it and having "none" when they didn't mean to. Is there a way to have it automatically assume you wanted the new entry selected or no? It's definitely not a big deal if they can't, it's a small thing and no hinder on functionality or appearance. =3 Is there a CSS class yet for me to customize this in the posting page or is that still in the works? Just making sure I didn't miss it for this release The mini-profiles appear to be working perfectly! They're showing up, I can style the div class easily, it's fantastic. It is exactly how I pictured it all these months. Thank you so so much, Todge! Ahhhh! =D

OK.. I'll see about adding the group restrictions.
There are a couple of issues with having the member's newly added options pre-selected...
Firstly, depending on how many you currently have, you can add more than one option, that being the case there's no way to know which new option they actually want.
Secondly, pre-selecting a members newly added option will mean setting 2 keys with one mouse-click. I'd have to do a little testing, but at the very least it will require a delay, so I'd have to find a way of stopping the member from hitting the post button or selecting any other options until both keys have been written to, otherwise you'll get an annoying pop-up.

Okidoke.. I'll add the group restrictions and get the new plugin to you.
And you wanted the class-names etc. for the cells to style them...
All of the options on the posting page are held inside a table, which is within a <div> cell, that cell has an ID of mini_stats, so you can obviously get to the table with #mini_stats table or #mini_stats>table.
The option titles each have a class of mini_stats_title
The options themselves each have a class of stats_option
The drop-down options each have the class mini_stats_drop
The options within the drop-down are held in <div> cells.
Except 'None' and 'Edit', they are both <span> cells.
And finally, the cell within the mini-profile has a class of post_stats, but you already know that.
I think that's everything. If I have forgotten anything, let me know.
