Sorry.. I thought your awards issues had been resolved. Can you update to the latest version (2.5.0), and if the issues still exist, reply in the awards thread. I had just dropped the issue & went on to something else with Luv. I will update to the (2.5.0) & let you know on the other thread. Thanks Todge, TC

In the Sidebar Redux plugin, you have added a cell with the ID 'sidebarr-left-td' without a title. Remove that, and do not replace it with anything. Then, in the Container ID field of the Recent Threads plugin, put 'sidebarr-left'.. Do NOT add a cell into the Redux plugin with that ID. The Recent Threads should then be added to the Sidebar redux cell. I did all that, however I want to be able to move the recent threads box to the top with. If I don't add it as a cell to the sidebar redux, then it says at the very bottom of the sidebar redux. It can't be moved otherwise. Is there something I can do, so that I can move it up and down like the usual settings allow in the sidebar redux? If I add it to a cell to move it up and down, if I choose style 1 I get the double header. If I choice style two I get that weird outline on top of the box. Thanks again for your help. I am just trying to figure out how I can get it to fit into the style of my forum without looking out of place. I figured it out! If anyone else is having the same issue with the sidebar redux and the sidebar recent updates, here is the fix from Brian's sidebar redux OP: CustomizationTo customize the CSS of any of your containers, simply add the following codes to the bottom of your theme's style sheet in Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet. Substitute the text in red with your container's ID. Making a Style 2 container invisible (good for moving the shoutbox into your sidebar)
Worked like a charm and I don't have that weird outline sitting over the recent threads box anymore! Hope that is helpful!

Hey, Awesome plugin. I'm trying to integrate this seamlessly into Sidebar Redux, and while I can put RT into my right sidebar, there is a small gap at the top that is created by the empty sidebar: So I'm trying to put #RT-Master into the sidebar directly: I'm wondering how to change the "Recent Threads" text in #recent-threads-title. I'd like to replace it with an image, if possible, but something that's not redundant (since I plan to title the sidebar "Recent Threads") is all I need. Thanks!

Hi. Very cool plugin. I just installed the Recently Updated Thread Sidebar yesterday and solved most of my issues with it by adding the recommended Sidebar Redux. Using the awesome Images in Thread Titles plugin by Wormopolis( www.proboards.com/library/plugins/item/108 ), we have replaced a number of words in thread titles on our forum with images and unfortunately in the just-added sidebar instead of the images, we get the code for the images instead. So instead of The Appreciation Thread, we get: The [iceman] appreciation thread. Instead of we get [ALL-NEW-X-FACTOR]. Not only do we not get the attractive image, we get placeholder code that is less attractive than simple text would be. I'm not sure which developer to address this with, or if it's even something that's fixable, but I thought I'd start by asking here. Yup... If you want a message to be seen by all members you need to put it in both the staff and members only area. Okeydokey, I got that. Now let me ask. I see that some of the copy is cut off as there is not a scroll, did I do something else wrong? Once again you are right on top of it. Thanks Todge, TC ps; still can't remove awards (using V 2.4.51, have no problem in giving them. I had the same problem with text being cut off in the Announcements and I also wanted an Announcement that could be seen by everyone without having to post text in multiple places, so I figured a workaround. I made sure Announcements were all empty and turned off, went to the "third cell" tab, titled it "Announcements" and selected to "move it to the top". No Chopped off text, and an Announcement that's readable by everyone. Or, if you install the Sidebar Redux, you could just use that to make you announcements.

$(document).ready(function(){ $('#recent-threads-title>h2').html('New Title'); });
// --> </script>
And change the red to your desired title.

TodgeIn the plugin settings, not sure if this was brought to your attention, but 'Scroll' makes the sidebar static, and 'Static' makes it scroll.

It seems to be OK to me, but I do see how the wording could be confusing. By static, I mean is stays static on the screen while the forum can scroll beside it, not static in relation to the forum. And, obviously, vice versa with scroll. By scroll I mean scrolling WITH the forum rather than scrolling against it. If you have setting correct and it's still doing the opposite, could you leave a link to your forum please, so I can take a look and try to see what's going on.

I checked the order and made sure both sidebar-related plugins were below Wormo's to no effect. I'm going to check with him to see if he can make his plugin target the links in yours. Thanks for your help, Todge!

Thanks for your help, Todge! Good news, Wormo has submitted an update for his plugin to the library! Now to another issue. Would it be possible to get some spacing between the threads shown? Right now the spacing between the threads listed is the same as the line spacing inside. Somethings more like this? Maybe not quite that much space, or make it adjustable, just so you can see where one post ends and another begins more easily. Thanks!

Yup, Put this in the CSS box in the plugin settings.. #recent-threads-cell div { padding-bottom: 25px; } and change the red number to one that suites.

I know nothing about CSS other than what I copy/paste and sadly don't really have the spare time to learn. Back to my getting Wormo's plugin to work with yours. He added an Additional Targets box to his "Images in Thread Titles" plugin, with the instructions: "If you have other spots where thread title appear that you want the replacer to run on, insert the jQuery selectors here. multiple selectors are separated by a comma". I have no idea what to paste there for your plugin. I tried a couple of things that didn't work(obviously I don't know what I am doing) and I hate to keep asking you for help but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to stumble my way into getting the right thing to put there.

No worries.. I'm not sure at what depth Wormo wants the selectors to target, but one of these should work.. #recent-threads-cell>div
#recent-threads-cell>div>a
#recent-threads-cell>div>a:first-child

Before anything else, I want to say thank you for all your help with this, it's appreciated. Okay, the code partially worked. First I tried each code individually on my forum, refreshing the home page each time, to no effect. Then I remembered I also have the Styled Member Names Plugin by peter on my forum(So far used just to color and BOLD staff member names), and it only works on your plugin on some pages. I thought that was maybe an issue with that plugin. I tried the first code again, and checked some of the pages where the other plugin works with yours, and the images from Wormo's plugin were now appearing on those pages in your sidebar(where before the images weren't appearing on the sidebar anywhere on the forum). I've tweaked a little of the code on my forum, and have installed a bunch of plugins, and I wanted to test this in a clean environment. So I created a test forum. abptestforum.boards.net/I added only the following five plugins in the following order(Yootil Library is necessary for 'Styled Member Names' to work): Yootil Library 0.9.9 Images in Thread Titles 1.1.5 Styled Member Names 2.1.0 Sidebar Redux 1.3.1 Recently Updated Threads Sidebar 0.2.4 Basically, the 'Images in Thread Titles' and 'Styled Member Names' both only work on your plugin on pages that start with Forum_Url/board and Forum_Url/thread, with 'Styled Member Names' additionally working on pages that start with Forum_Url/post. Even with the targeting in Wormo's plugin, neither of those work in the sidebar on the main forum page that shows all the boards, nor the search page, members page, profile page, messages page etc. or on any custom pages. And I know it's not because those two plugins specifically don't work on those pages for some reason because they both work all over the main forum page except in the sidebar. I also briefly disabled 'Sidebar Redux' to rule out any issue with that to no effect. You can see on the test site what I mean. abptestforum.boards.net/I'm at a loss.

Try moving the Recently Updated Threads Sidebar plugin to the top of the list. It doesn't use Yootil, so it can safely go above that.
