I'd like to report a problem with the plugin; if someone deletes the thread, it still shows up, and then generates an error message when someone tries to click it.

Yup, I'm aware of that issue, and adding that function is proving a pain. But, as admin you can click on the Recently Updated Threads cell title, and then you can remove any broken links from the list.

Yay updates. However, having just updated from 0.2.4 to 0.2.5 importing all existing key data & settings then deleting the previous installation, it is not showing up in the sidebar anymore. I have the Sidebar Redux plugin with a container sitting between our 'Moon Phase' and 'Staff' containers dedicated to the Recently Updated plugin. Checking the settings in both plugins the container ID still matches up so not sure what happened. Forum

It works, though not with the colorsmear so I assume it isn't up with the latest version. I think I really do like that pixel width limiter though instead of character...
I would like to also take this time to mention that it was not updating with a specific members' posts again. Do you think it has something to do with length of their name? Display Name: Josette deBrabant, user is knightphantom
They are consistently missed by this plugin.

Strange.. It should work.
I see you have old codes in your Headers/Footers. Can you please try removing them in case they are tripping up the plugin checks.
Most V4.5 header/footer codes will not work with V5 anyhow.

I have the Sidebar Redux plugin with a container sitting between our 'Moon Phase' and 'Staff' containers dedicated to the Recently Updated plugin. Checking the settings in both plugins the container ID still matches up so not sure what happened. ForumOkay, I had this exact same problem when going from 0.2.4 to 0.2.5. Like you, I imported all the key data and settings and then the Recently Updated Threads Sidebar just disappeared. Sidebar Redux was still there, but this plugin wasn't displaying anymore. I panicked and went back to 0.2.4 and again imported all the key data and settings and everything reappeared. So I did some trial with switching between the two versions, comparing things. Even though all the Key information imported, and most of the settings, one thing that didn't was the "Choose any boards you's like this to be displayed on" on the "About" tab of the Recently Updated Threads Sidebar Settings. It was empty after switching to 0.2.5. I went and re-added those boards on the 0.2.5 version and the Recently Updated Threads Sidebar re-appeared on the forum.

Haha, if that's the case man am I blind. Is what I get for doing this stuff while at work I guess. Could've sworn I checked that tab, but maybe I just checked the 'not included' tab; cause I'm a genius like that. Thanks adminabp! Will double check that when I have some time. I cannot clear out the header/footer code cause I do not have access to everything, but will pass that along as the main admin might just not be aware those exist. Thank you Todge. Do you by any chance have the pixel limiter version updated that I could download from you instead of the character limiter (for the title length)? I find it way easier to read at a glance. If not is cool though, don't want to make extra work for yah.

How hard is it to show group color names? *hint hint* Surprisingly difficult. It SHOULD already show them, the group classes are already included in the sidebar, and while I was writing it I swear they did work, but at some point they obviously stopped, and I'll be damned if I can find out what happened.

How hard is it to show group color names? *hint hint* I just started using ColorSmear to color the group names. In the ColorSmear plugin settings, go to the display names tab and the "...Or entire groups..." section. Add the names of the groups you want to color. To make a single, NON-smeared color, select Standard (color 1 -> color 2) and make both your start and end colors exactly the same. That colors the group names everywhere including the Recently Updated Threads Sidebar.

There are already a bunch of names added to our colorsmear, I'm not too worried about adding my name to the list just to test this. The admin has a colorsmear and they post often enough. I'd rather not go in and add everyone with group colored names to the colorsmear just for this (unless of course I get complaints), mostly because they change with the theme to keep colored names readable on all themes.

Hi Todge I love this plugin, it's so handy! I have no idea why a sidebar and this feature are not integrated into the forum, made as an enable/disable option like the Shoutbox for those who want/don't-want one. Anyway, I had an idea. Right now the links in the sidebar take us to the top of the first page of a thread, which is great for a new thread, but if it's a thread many pages long and possibly one a poster has already been participating in, most likely if they see a new post in that thread in the sidebar, they are going to want to go to the most recent posts, not go all the way back to page one, then have to click another link to get to the last page. Example: If the Recently Update Threads Sidebar was installed here in the support forum, and it registered a new post in the thread, it would create the following link: support.proboards.com/thread/508294/updated-threads-sidebarWhich would take you to the first post on the first page. But either of the two links below support.proboards.com/threads/recent/508294/support.proboards.com/threads/recent/508294/updated-threads-sidebarwould take you to the last post on the last page. Would it be possible to make the RUT sidebar plugin make links like that to the last post in the thread instead of the first? And yes, I understand and am sorry about your lack of a working computer(been there myself not too long ago), I was mainly wondering if this would be possible for a future version of the plugin. Seems like it would be just a matter of having it replace forumurl/thread with forumurl/threads/recent/ while keeping everything after that? I don't see why not. I'll look into it. Hey Todge, been a couple of months since I asked, thought I'd check and see if this is something that is coming? Because I think it would be a very popular change if it could be made to work.
