Hi Todge, I think that you are just brilliant. Admired your work for years and wish I knew just a fraction of what you do regarding proboards. Okay, here is my problem. I have installed the sidebar reflux. That works pretty good. I installed the Recently Updated Threads Sidebar plugin. It does not work. I know that your work does work, so obviously, it is something that I have done or not done. I admit that my eyes aren't what they use to be and I have too many floaters blocking what I want to see. I put in the snippet sidebarr-left in the global footer. It didn't work. All I got was the words sidebarr-left showing up at the bottom of the page. If I put it in the global header, the words showed up there. What am I doing wrong? I am lost. i do not want to accept defeat. Many thanks to you. Lynne Irwin Coping With Issues copingwithissues.com

Lynne Irwin Coping With Issues copingwithissues.comLol, "sidebar reflux" sounds like a disease. (It's redux) If you get words when you are not supposed to be getting words, you are not encapsulating it in <script></script> tags But what you are wanting to do is this: Container ID if you'd like the recently displayed threads to be listed in a specific place, add a cell to your forum with a unique ID and add that ID here. The Sidebar will then be displayed there. Adding a <div> to the header or footer of your forum, for instance, you can then have the Recent Threads list displayed at the top or bottom of your forum instead, or if you have the sidebar Redux plugin, you can put sidebarr-right or sidebarr-left here and the threads will be listed in your existing sidebar. So you need to be in the manage plugin section

I have already been there. I am just going to take this to forum.net. I am glad that I was able to give you a chuckle out of my frustration because right now, it is not reflux I am having it is something stronger.

Hi @huggzfaerie, If I am right to assume that the link in your signature is to your forum, I can't see the Recently Updated Threads plugin on your forum. If it is not a link to your forum, could you please post one and I'll take a look. But, what P̌̓aͧś̀t̀u͒le͆o͂2̀3̃̓ says is correct. When managing the Recent Threads plugin, in the 'Settings' tab you should find the 'Container ID' option. It's the 5th option from the top. If you put 'sidebarr-left' in that option the Recent Threads should appear in the left sidebar of the Sidebar Redux plugin. You will probably want the Offset option to be 'No' also, otherwise it will push your forum to the right.

Thank you Todge! Between you and Brian Ordonez, I was finally able to understand. As I said to Brian, both of you rock!
Have a great week.

Hi TodgeBasically id like to make a few changes to tidy things up and wondered if you could help? The black arrows on the left hand side is the start of the boards and im taking a guess at where the black arrows are positioned that is the padding ? Either way id like to reduce that gap in half so the boards are positioned more to the left. Secondly Id like to stretch the wrapper out about 90% / 95% so it still covers the whole screen which is the red arrows on the right hand side. Last but not least id like to move the Recent Threads box inside the wrapper but on the right hand side as indicated by the blue arrow. Are you able to assist me with this ? PS: Sorry the image is so small Thanks Dave

You should be able to achieve the effect you're after if you use that to create the sidebar, then place the Recent Threads inside that by using the Containing Cell ID 'sidebarr-right'.

You will then need to change the options in the Sidebar Redux plugin to give you a sidebar on the right of your forum, the recent threads should then appear within that sidebar.

I'm afraid I'm at a loss as to why the sidebar is being displayed at the bottom of your forum rather than to the right of it.
The Recent Threads plugin appears to be working correctly, the sidebar IS being placed in the sidebarr-right container, but that cell is in the wrong place. Could you try deactivating ALL you plugins except for the Sidebar Redux and the Recent Threads plugins and see if they then behave?

The best way would be to post in the help thread for that plugin. If you still don't have any luck I'll take another look,
