By far the easiest way would be to use the Sidebar Redux plugin, and place the Recent Threads cell within that. 49 pages of this thread to read. EEK. LOL. I'm trying to figure out how to set this very thing up. I've been using the Redux plugin ever since it came out. I'm really green at learning a lot of how to do all of this.
Still, I'd LOVE to add your plugin to one of the spots on the Redux for my main site. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks.

lovegood-lounge.proboards.com/ Hiya Skidjit, It looks like you have managed to get the Updated Threads cell in your sidebar. The threads list should appear as new posts are made. If it's not working, then give me a yell.

If it's not working, then give me a yell. Eek. Nope. Nothing. There's been over a dozen posts since I put that up and none are showing. All I see is what I named the spot on the Redux plugin where I'm hoping the updated threads would pop up.
I guess where I'm going wrong is how do I link your plugin with Brian's.

Ahh.. When I saw the Recent Threads cell in your sidebar I assumed you had got it working.
In the 'Container Id' field you currently have left-sidebar, change that to sidebarr-left and all should be good.

Yep. That worked. Yay! Thanks Todge. Hmm? I also have it set to scroll, but for some reason it doesn't. Was there something else I need to do?

The scroll option within the plugin makes the plugin scroll with the screen, or remain static while the screen scrolls around it. As you have put the Recent Threads cell inside another sidebar, that option will no longer work. If you want the thread list to be scrollable within the cell itself, put this in the CSS box inside the plugins' options.. #recent-threads-cell { height: 200px; overflow: auto; } The red number being the height you want the cell to be.

Ok. Thanks Todge. I'll do this.
Edited:
Yep. It works fine. Thank you so much for creating this plugin. It's really going to come in handy for me.

Todge , another question I know, but I'm almost there,... gccc.boards.net/The recent threads tab shows the wrong links? (if you hover over them you will see what topic it takes you to. Also, if a topic is 'bumped' it doesn't show up on top even though I checked the box in the settings? Thanks!

Also, if a topic is 'bumped' it doesn't show up on top even though I checked the box in the settings? Thanks! All of the threads listed in the sidebar take me to the correct thread. The info being shown when you hover over the link is the board the thread is in, and the poster. As for the bumping problem, I'll look into that.

Also, if a topic is 'bumped' it doesn't show up on top even though I checked the box in the settings? Thanks! The 'bumping' feature works for me in all browsers that I tested on in my test forum. What browser are you using, and have you tried any other browser to see if the problem is browser specific?

I'm using chrome. Just tried it and doesn't work. Also for the wrong links, now everything seems fine but every now and then it shows the wrong links (might be loading time?). Thanks!!

I don't (and won't) use Chrome, but I do have Iron, which is basically Chrome with all the unwanted bits removed, and it works fine.
I'll do some digging, but unless I can recreate the problem it's going to be difficult suss out a solution.

Hi!
How can I rename "recent threads" -line? I am sure that I have seen the instructions for that somewhere but I couldn't find it. Thank you for your time.
