I figure it's going to take me less time if I just ask for recommendations from Proboards as to what is a good site map script to use on a Proboards forum. I want to make sure I get script from a place that is reliable and isn't going to cause problems. Some trusted script. Yeah, the whole forum is a site map basically but for search engine purposes I need to get a site map installed and submitted so I get better crawls. Thanks

Hi Tea Party Main Street, ProBoards forums are already configured to help search engines deduce the forum's structure, so I can't say I'm equipped to recommend a tool/script like that.

OK, thanks! The Webmaster tools for the search engines have a site map link installation box that I'd like to use that targets the bots to every page and link on the web site. Takes an sitemap XML file. Can one of these file types with a link be generated from the Proboards script? Proboards does the SEO and that's excellent but if I could get a sitemap XML file link into the Google and Bing Webmaster sitemap submit boxes that would be excellent also

If it requires uploading a file to the site it wouldn't be possible.

Also I noticed that your title appears to be "Your SEO optimized title" you might want to change that.

It can be done with a link but the link must be XML. I can use RSS 2.0, Atom 0.3, Atom 1.0 and text files. The easiest way is to use the RSS feed already provided but that limits the crawls to only posts that are in the RSS feed and not the whole site. It says I can use text files but I'm not advanced enough to know what kind of text files? ?? Here's a snip of Bing's sitemap submit container. Google has this also. Inside the submit box reads, "http://teapartywhitehouse.proboards.com/sitemap.xml I don't know if I can submit each Category and page individually yet. If I can submit each category individually then that's what I will do if I can't get a "Whole Site Feed" going. As for the, "Your SEO optimized title" thing Google did that and I haven't figured out how to change it? ? I was installing Google Webmaster meta tags to connect my forum to Google Webmaster and this "Your SEO optimized title" just appeared. Hey, the better I can connect my forum with the search engines the best possible results I'm going to achieve. If I can get something into this sitemap submit box so search performance can be fine tuned then I want to find some way to do it. Thanks!

Check out your Admin>Themes>Templates>Forum Wrapper. At the very top (like 7) is where you can go to change that title.

OK, I changed the name. I put the search engine meta tags above the Proboards automatically generated code. Hopefully Proboards will be able to come up with something I can insert into that site map box provided by the search engine web masters. That would help Thanks!
