Make specific announcements (selected by thread id) only show in specific boards, or to specific groups.

Basically it doesn't work at all. I have it set so that the 'subboard claim' announcement should only be seen on the IC posting areas - in the category labeled Beacon Hills - but it still shows up everywhere.

you have two copies of the plugin running. delete the one without any saved data

I filled out the settings form and chose to have the announcement display itself in about 4 forums at once - it doesn't show up anywhere else except its parent forum.

Im hoping you mean "board" because "forum" to me means different URLs.

In the boards it doesnt show, do you have "show announcements" turned on in the board settings? is the thread you are targetting actually flagged as an announcement?

Hi Wormopolis,

I have just installed this plugin. It's a very handy feature and I do love it, but it appears to be working opposite of what seems intuitive to me. When I click the check box next to Keep Threads Visible in Own Board, the thread disappears from its own board and appears in all boards with announcements enabled elsewhere.

If I uncheck Keep Threads Visible in Own Board, then it appears in its own board but not anywhere else. Am I just confused and misunderstanding what it means?

It also changes my separator line to be taller and changes its color, as well. Would you please help me get it back to the way I have it without the plugin enabled? Thanks.

I am sorry. I don't understand the question, so I don't know how to answer you.

If you mean how is it set up in the plugin.

Thread ID - 'number to thread'
Then I selected one board, which is the board that the thread is already in.

Ok so normally when you make a thread an announcement, it will show in every board that has announcements turned on. If you don't want it in every board, you can choose which boards it will show in. Choosing ONLY the board it is already in will hide it everywhere else

The option of "threads visible in own board" was to make the normal thread still appear in its normal order of threads even if it wasn't shown as an announcement or announcements were turned off for that board.
