Hello, I've been attempting to see if ProBoards natively allows Vine embeds through the video BBCode, and I haven't been able to get it to work. As such, I'd like to know if it's possible for a plugin to be made to embed Vine videos, similar to ProBoards's built-in Twitter embed. Here's an example of a web link to a Vine video: vine.co/v/OqJKZVQami9Here's the embed page for that Vine: vine.co/v/OqJKZVQami9/embedBelow is the embed code - unfortunately, it uses an iframe, which I've read is likely to be an issue: <iframe class="vine-embed" src="https://vine.co/v/OqJKZVQami9/embed/postcard" width="480" height="480" frameborder="0"></iframe><script async src="//platform.vine.co/static/scripts/embed.js" charset="utf-8"></script> And this is the source URL for the video: blob:https%3A//vine.co/f8465c6c-d4a0-4ba3-b97c-21d1ac527be6
If anyone can build such a plugin or give me an idea of how to do it myself, that would help a lot - thanks!

While I had considered the option of enabling HTML for staff, that isn't a good solution in this case since I want everyone to be able to embed a Vine, just like they can with a tweet by default (or a SoundCloud track, thanks to an already-developed plugin). I'm hoping there's a way to do something similar for Vine, rather than enabling HTML code in posts.

Give this a go and let me know how it works for you. ( I haven't seen your forum so I've no idea what mods have been done ) www.dropbox.com/s/y3q3ajf7fqllsrk/Vine.pbp?dl=0Demo here : pebbleplugins.proboards.com/post/438/threadJust install it and you should be good to go. No settings to play with. I had a change of mind about how to implement it and went with where the id ( set of numbers/letters ) is taken from the URL. If you have Chris's UBBC quick reply plugin you can easily set up a custom button to do this.

Looks like it's working well - thanks a lot for your quick work!! (the forum is pulsemusic.proboards.com/ for the record) ETA: One minor thing - they don't show up if you link to a single post ( example), but they do if you're viewing the full thread. Not a big deal if that isn't changed; just figured I'd bring it to your attention in case it's a small fix.

No longer needed as this has been added as standard by Proboards ( and it broke this plugin )

I suspect that this thread may have contributed in some way to that awesome new embed feature Proboards just released Pebble so don't let it deter you in the least. Although embedding has taken one giant leap, there are areas that still need to be covered, a native audio player, for example, comes to mind. It was dropped when the prospect of having to deal with copyright infringements proved too cumbersome to overcome for an up and coming company such as Proboards (I bet Google has teams of lawyers dedicated to the proposition that all videos are created by someone else). In fact, they still have the bbcode button at images.proboards.com/v5/bbcode/audio.png as proof of that abandoned venture. Given your experience in using HTML5 audio in plugins I would guess that would be right down your alley. Also with Adobe no longer creating flash for the mobile platforms Proboards will eventually have to begin steering in the html5 direction anyway so you'll be ahead of the curve. Adding to the list of available embed sites on this new button may also prove to be an opportunity rich endeavor
