Been in operation a while, and need some more efficient ways to get members and partners in crime so that it doesn't feel like it's all me. I know others are very interested, however, I also know that I am not gaining any new members yet other than people I know personally. Tips an pointers would be great. And don't tell me it's too ambitious or anything like that. I never intended it to be an easy project, and have heard that thought way too many times.

Hello, First impression is that your forum is wide, and most forums now a days usually take the first step and make there forum locked at around 800-920px. Depending on the forum, but those ones also add Smangii's killer side tables to display even more information. Also you have way to many boards and categories. Often sites use 3 simple categories, A general category which holds information like ads or just a general area to chat. Another category is character creation and useful information, with the last category in RP sites using the final category for RPing. You have 8 Categories which I believe can be shifted from categories into boards. Misc, Levels, Music, Preplanned, are all categories with single boards, which means they themselves can be just turned into boards within another category which will help clean up the general appearance. The skin is rather painful for a poor choice of words. The background is distracting and is a great way of showing members what you site is about with just a quick glance. I'm not going to dive into your content directly since I believe you have to first make the site pleasant to look at before a guest will continue. If you sight is about technology which I don't know since I see an items location but no plot thread, try to make it appear like that. Shows like Code Lyoko and movies like Matrix can help give ideas of what you need to focus on to give the vibe your looking for.

mmkay. that's put pretty blunt, but I get the gist. I just haven't bothered to spend as much time on the skins and such because A.) I am nowhere near adequate in technical content creation, B.) I'm not at all familiar with the CSS or Html styles of coding, be it language and organization, C.) I have no one on my "team", if you can call it that, who has any expertise in webpage design and the like, and D.) I've been more concerned that it's been a problem of content than display. As I've been told several times in person, the ambition is just too much to handle, and no one else seems to want to be a part of it. Tbh, I'm near giving up on having it show up as a website and trying to rope in new members as is, because the only people I've managed to get to stick around have been personal friends, and even then not all of them. so thanks for the advice, but unfortunately, I don't have very much capacity for using it at the moment. The organizational one, I will likely use asap, though. the only people that continue to use it would have need for that much more likely.
