Is there some way for a user to block another user so posted messages are mutually unseen? Similar to Facebook blocking?

Hi A member can block another member via the respective member's profile. So Member A would click into Member B's - who they want to block - profile, and in the top right hand corner click the cog. They should see an option to block the member. Further, if they click into their own edit profile pages, and under the Privacy tab, they should find a list of members they have blocked, along with additional options on what to block.

Blocking a member won't stop that member from seeing your posts, I don't think. It will stop you from seeing the blocked members posts (along with anything you have ticked as a choice not to happen/be seen). Each member must do his/her own blocking, though.

Is there a Plugin that we can install so the blocked person cannot see posts from the one blocking them? Just trying to keep the peace for some members

Not that I know of, Sandra45. Additionally, plugins don't work if the user is accessing the forum via mobile. Another problem is that many users will block another user's posts but still click on the "show post" option and read the darned thing anyway. Why they blocked in the first place if they want to read the posts is a mystery only they can fathom. In short, if they're going to fight, they're going to fight. The best way of handling it (that I've found) is to let them know that if they can't post civilly and responsibly, they'll need to stop posting. I've put our "battlers" on short "vacations" (using the disable option) in the past to make it clear their bickering is not going to be tolerated. That, along with your forum rules, usually clears up the problem.

It's not possible to prevent another user from seeing your posts. Sorry.
Even if you blocked that particular user they could view the forum as a guest or under another account and still see your posts.
