Hi, nariadreaming. I believe Michael mentioned this in one of the earlier threads, but I'll mention it here as well. Right now we're working on a tool users will be able to opt into that should generate a log of their most recent ads. As a result we should be able to pin down the exact advertiser responsible for producing the ad, eliminating the arduous process of having to manually reproduce the ad by chance. We should have more information on this very soon since as I'm typing this others around me are helping our system admins debug any of the tool's existing issues across different browsers.

Have I mentioned lately that you guys are the best.

The tool mentioned isnt 100% yet, but given the issues I think it would be best to try and use it anyway where possible if it can identify the culprit sooner. Companies causing issues like this should be rooted out to benefit not just us, but the internet as a whole. For affected users, if they visit ads.proboards.com/ad_debugger.html you should see an enable button. If they do not, the browser in question isnt working yet. At this time we have had success in all Chrome tests, most Firefox tests and a handful of safari tests. If the button is there, hit enable then go back a forum with ads. Following that, check back on the debugger. If you want, you can have the pages running side by side. Things should appear in the debugger as things load on the forum. If things arent appearing, it is probably again an incomplete issue. In the event you recreate such an issue and the logger is working, please go to the ad debugger, hit the corresponding button on the request and copy the data provided.

As an addition to this I just want to mention that you should (but do not have to, especially on mobile devices without "tabbed" browsing where it is impossible) keep both the forum that you're scanning on and the ad tool open in different tabs of your browser. I simply suggest this for ease of use. Once you get the redirect switch back over to the ad scanning tab and then use the copy button and copy the data from both of the most recent ads and then post it here. With that information in hand we can block the ad causing the issue. I would also like to add that you should occasionally hit the "Clear Logs" so that you don't end up with a massive log. This is simply just for ease of use and viewing; do not clear if you have received a redirect! Thank you to everyone and anyone who scans!!
