Circle Boards

Okay so, how would I make my list of boards (on my forum) be in circles??? Well, oval.

I need a way of having the board icon, name, and description in it, possibly the most recent post but that is not required. Any ideas???

I have tried to do this on my own, and quite frankly all I have gotten out are outputs of numbers, lol. Still working on my HTML and CSS, a bit rusty.

I helped someone create oval boards but I can't find the thread and now I'm looking for the test site and theme I had it on. Might take a while as I have a lot of test sites & themes on each and hopefully I didn't wipe out the layout for it but I don't think I did. I should know if I found it tomorrow. 


Whoops, I was wrong, I made oval descriptions for each board but I have round boards that could be converted easily into ovals. Just have to find that. Is it possible you could do a very rough drawing of where you want things in the oval. Doesn't have to be neat or anything, just a rough draft on Paint if you have it or any graphics program. You don't need to do a rough drawing if you plan on adding the posts/threads, descriptions, etc. on your own.

And just a question(I know it's possible to do this with @font-face or something like that lol) how could I get a font on my computer onto there??? Is it possible for me to upload the font or no?

Fallen, you can always look in Google Fonts for something similar, or host that font yourself.

I got 'Last King's Quest' off Dafont.com. How do you think I would host this? Any ideas?

Download the font and upload it into your own hosting like drop box then link it into your forum like so [click].

I'm moving this to the template board as this isn't a theme request but a template request. Also, I can't find the test site I had the circle boards on. I did it right after we went to V5 and I liked the layout I had. But like I said, I can't find that test site/the theme I had it on so will have to start from scratch and I'm not sure if I can get on it today as life is keeping me off the computer.

If anyone else wants to jump in and help, just post here to let me know I don't need to find time to do this. Otherwise, I'll try to get on this as soon as I can allot some ample time to do it.

Thanks, I know but there were things I didn't like about how the template was set up. I just went in and fixed it to get the desired results. Thanks though.


Fallen , A few questions as I'm doing a little work on your request. 

1. Do you in fact want oval boards? I know you said oval in your first post but want to just clarify it.
2. How many boards in one row? (Typically it is three)
2. What do you want to happen if you have just one board in the last row. Do you want it the same size as all the other boards and do you want it aligned to the left, middle? My suggestion would just be to keep either 3, 6, 9, 12, etc. boards in each row.

Edit: I'm almost done. Just want to know if you definitely want last post not on there anywhere. What about listing of sub-boards or moderator info?

I have no need for the last post or moderator info, but if you could fit the sub-boards in there that would most certainly be amazing.

For #2, it depends how wide you want your forum. What is the width you prefer approximately.

For #2, it depends how wide you want your forum. What is the width you prefer approximately.

700-800px.
