"The Tears For Fears Connection" is a forum dedicated to the music of the band Tears for Fears (Roland Orzabal & Curt Smith). There are lots of fans all over the world, I know many of them are on twitter (though twitter is not very suitable for discussing a band in depth) and on the Steve Hoffman Music Forums they have been voted for as the best band of the 80s. To say that their music has aged remarkably well compared to many of their peers is an understatement, particularly with the acclaim they have among other (often younger) musicians & bands, many of which are deemed more 'hip' than TFF.
The board is a combination of information center and discussion forum with numerous sections devoted to albums, live shows, solo albums, related topics and offtopic discussions. These sub-forums are just waiting to be filled! We also have a Shoutbox (which is obligatory for a band who had a big hit named "Shout" ).
At the moment I am still not quite finished with adding information and essential threads (and perfecting the design), but there is already some nice discussion going on. We are not a large community (yet), the members that have joined so far are mainly fellow fans who have been involved in the creation of the board from the beginning and who kept assuring me that it was a good idea. Though with the band working on a new album, there should be a lot of things to talk about.
If you want a place to delve into the depths of TFF's music, don't look any further. Whether it's the evolvement of the live show over the years, or the favourite 12" mixes, or tracing some of the cleverly placed hints to other musicians (not just The Beatles ) back to their origins, The Tears for Fears Connection is the place to do it. Check it out if you like:
