To give an idea of what I'm looking for, here's the page from our old website (it's going to be shut down on the 28th of May, so this link won't work after that): deathdeliverance.enjin.com/marvel2015Basically, I'd like it to where Members can add / edit / delete their own characters. The main admin and added Member Groups (defaults to just main admin if no Member Group added) can also add / edit / delete characters for members. I'd like to be able to have it where this info is added: - Game (all characters with the same Game name would be grouped together) - Character Name - Character Level - Character Gender - Additional information (textarea entry) I'd like to be able to place this (table?) wherever, including (if possible) on a custom page (via an HTML widget if just placing a <div> or something). I realize that this would require (at least) 1 super key, which is not an issue. If it takes more than 1, that's fine - I'll just see about adding more room for it (them) on my forum (but that may have to wait until next month, due to finances). I have no idea on how I would go about this myself, hence why I'm posting this as a request. Heck, if I knew how to do this myself, I'd just do it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask - I'll try to elaborate more where needed. Thanks!

Well, I suppose I could use custom profile fields. I was trying to avoid that as the setup would really only allow for a fixed character name and the member enters in the character's level - so it's rather restricted on what info can be shown. Not to mention that, if someone has 20 characters, for example, the mini-profile would probably be way too big for posts now. The custom post template plugin could work, but it would make threads cumbersome to go through to find someone's character. Again, if they've got 20 characters, that would be 20 posts that would have to be looked through. The only consolation on that would be restricting a member to just 1 thread for all of their characters. In both cases, there's no way to re-organize. On the link I gave, characters in the Marvel Heroes 2016 (online) game or re-ordered based on character level and tier. So, when a new character gains level(s) that would place them "higher" in the list than other character who would now be lower in level, that character would need to be "moved" in the list to show their new "position". I suppose I could set up something that has to be entered by the admin in the UI to update characters for members, but that's what I already have to do on the other site that I linked. I'd like it to where members can make their own updates for their own characters so I didn't have to do it for them - which is the part I don't know how to do. If I have to do updates for them in the UI, I could just use a double autoform - 1 for Game and the other for characters (like what custom post template does with Form ID and Form Field autoforms). The problem with that is that custom post template plugin already exists that can do that - but mine is quite full with it being used for our various applications on the forum. The thing that would need to be added to custom post templates is the ability to take the entirety of all arrays and place them in a sorted table (possibly on a custom page via a <div> so it gets automatically updated, since that's not possible to do on posts). TL;DR A key would probably be needed if there was a way for users to make their own edits (as well as the admin). Basically, member clicks a button (Edit Characters), all their characters come up, member edits one(s) they need to, click Save and the table gets updated. If not possible, I'll just try making a dual autoform that I'd have to manually update. Thanks for the reply, P̌̓aͧś̀t̀u͒le͆o͂2̀3̃̓.

Mock up of what I had in mind: In the Character Profiles section, the Game Name would match the game's name in the Games section.

This could be pretty dang cool! I actually have this started on my test forum - but I'm not doing any kind of coding until after the new year. After that, we'll see what I can do with it.

₪» ⅀ ƪ Ƒ «₪, Yes and no. YES - I've been able to make a plugin that uses a 4-column table (it goes to 3-column if you disable the Image column in the UI settings) that can have characters added - not quite the way I had laid out in my OP, but workable. If you want to see it, just reply back here and I'll give you a guest-friendly link that you can see what I've got. NO - It still has to be edited via plugin settings. I don't know how to make it to where each member can edit their own character(s). As such, the adding / editing / removing of characters still requires a Staff member who can access plugins.

Interesting! I'd love to see the guest friendly version if you don't mind avatarascent.boards.net/page/whos-whoHere's the UI: Characters Tab: Where characters are entered Settings Tab: A few settings If the first setting (Character Image) is set to Don't Show, it creates a 3-column table instead of a 4-column table. Keep in mind that I hadn't planned on putting this out. I mention this because the 4th column is designed to create the PM button - so putting something else there might not make sense - as a button will still be created.

Wow, you really pulled something neat together! I don't think it'd fit on my forum, but I thank you profusely for showing me. It's exciting to see that you did indeed create it in the end, I've loved watching your coding skills develop over time
