Member Happy Birthday (formerly Date of Creation)

Hi there. This is a plugin that will add a badge of your choosing to the profile and mini profile if it happens to be that users date of birth. www.proboards.com/library/plugins/item/1353 You can also edit the message that appears when you hover over.  The newest version is 1.3.0 at the time of this edit!

Instructions after installation:

In your admin panel, navigate to Structure > Layout Templates > Mini-Profile and add the following anywhere in the template:   

{if $[user.is_member] && !$[user.is_deleted]}<div class="display-birth">$[user.birthday]</div> {else}<div class="display-birth"></div>{/if} 

Next, go to the User Profile template in Structure > Layout Templates > User Profile and add this line anywhere in that template:  

<div class="display-birth">$[user.birthday]</div> 

The user's birthday will not be shown to anyone and will respect the birthday settings the member has set in his forum account.

Where do you put the code for it to show up in the corner like on your screenshot?

Hi, when it is gonna disappear? My user had birthday a day ago. Local time is 0:12 at the moment.

Ben Goodman Should already have disappeared. Can you clear your cache first? It may be that I need to change how I get the date.

I have done something wrong as I tested it on some one's birthday and it didn't show up.

Hi. Figuring this out now. My apologies for the delay.

toetapping You need to go to each theme and do the following:

Go to your Layout Templates > Mini-Profile and add this line anywhere you want
<div class="display-birth">$[user.birthday]</div>


While still in the Layout Templates go to User Profile (Layout Templates > User Profile)
and add this line anywhere you want:
<div class="display-birth">$[user.birthday]</div>

I had the exact same problem as toetapping and followed the instructions to a "T" even re-read it five times and triple checked to see where I went wrong and still, no nothing and I just had my birthday on Saturday.

Figured out the problem, ⛄ Linette, you had placed the <div class="display-birth">$[user.birthday]</div> outside of the div for the mini-profile. I made that clearer in my first post. I fixed it for you. Should be working now.
