It would be cool if the lead post would stay up top front and center always there when you open the thread no matter what page you're on then that way lazy people will always know that thread is about or text game? If a plug in like this has already been created or there's a feature already for this could someone please point me in the right direction?

You should be able to accomplish this by using the $[thread.first_post] in the layout templates. I just tried it on an unmodified theme and it seems to work so let me see if I can put it into a step by step toot. Edit: Use this instead Hi, ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥ . I messed around a bit and apparently this is possible. I recommend trying this on a new theme before dedicating any other themes to it. Replace everything in Structure > Layout Templates > Thread > Post List with this. And add this to the bottom of Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet.

Omgosh Chris you lost me on those instructions, but thank you Love for guiding me to one that I can understand and use by Brian it works like a charm. Now I'm going to go and backup that template so I don't lose it. ((Hugs))

You're welcome, @linette .
Chris , did a great job, as usual. I have many of his codes on our board.
This just illustrates there are several ways to attack the same issue!
I just wish I had seen this earlier before Chris put in all of that hard work.

Thanks for that link ♥ ℒʊ√ ♥ , after inspecting Brian 's code I saw where I went wrong with my attempt! Sorry @linette For future reference: I used index as if it was an indication of the post's position within the thread rather than its position on the page and Brian instead used $[post.thread.first_post.id]

No worries Chris I didn't mean anything bad against your coding at all, I'm SO not code savvy at all your code is more for those code savvy peeps who have LOTS more experience then I do, Omg I'm so far from code savvy.
