The thing is Tumbleweed , I can understand it years ago when we didn't have the sophisticated medical equipment we do now.
But when numerous MRIs, x-rays, ultrasounds show multiple, serious injuries and when visible injuries still remain FIVE years later like the lemon sized painful lump in my neck from the seatbelt holding me back as my car traveled 100 feet backwards into oncoming traffic from the force of the hit, I really don't have any type of sympathy for the "scam" excuses they like to hold onto.
You can keep the toe crossing on hold until Tuesday, the 18th. It's so ridiculous this happened so long ago and this is still ongoing. I know we are going off topic here but did you get any kind of a settlement to help with all the medical bills at all yet or is this the insurance company trying to get you to finish settling this for x amount of dollars when you aren't ready to settle for x amount of dollars. I know my sisters lawyer told her to not sign off on anything until a number of years passed and she was positive there were no other side affects that cropped up. Sorry if I'm being too snoopy. You don't have to answer if you'd rather not.

Tumbleweed My PIP (Personal Injury Protection) paid for all my medical expenses to date. But now, my lawyer said my injuries far exceed the term limit of the policy so it is time to settle because one can't get more than the amount you are insured for. And the insurance company is loathe to pay out the term limit, but my lawyer, doctors/specialists/me know my injuries are permanent and settling for less would be an injustice at this point in time. I worked as a para-legal so I knew the suit would take time, but I figured it would be settled in four years. This January will be FIVE! Ugh, I really do hate insurance companies.
