Twice now, an attempt to complain on this board about the lack of a meaningful or even acceptable response from the abuse department to legitimate complaints from customers with actual, proper, grievances, has been rebuffed with an invitation to email the abuse department. This is obviously ridiculous, this support board is quite clearly the only logical outlet for such a complaint on any ProBoards property, when mails to the abuse department are being fobbed off. Two different admins doing it suggests it is official policy here on this board. As I have broached to one of them in PM, it would be a mistake if they are doing it without an official direction, in writing, from the abuse department, or higher. Because if it were me, throwing the support board admins under the bus and then denying I ever did it, would be a smart, if unethical, move, if the alternate was admitting it was my department giving customers the runaround that was the ultimate trigger for a round of negative publicity. Radio silence, or form letters that do nothing to answer legitimate, detailed, complaints, will not play well in the real world, no matter how much sense they appear to make to the regulars here, who have apparently never had the misfortune to be put in this situation through no fault of their own (unless defining fault as not being a mind reader and/or not monitoring your forum 60/60/24/7).

Hello,
The statements issued from the abuse email account are official. We are not required to provide a "meaningful" response to your inquiry about a deleted forum. To quote a response from Brian:
"Any reports submitted to the abuse department have been handled with the utmost professionalism. Forums are only deleted under extreme circumstances where deletion is deemed justifiable as it's not in our best interest to lose part of our user base."
