Hi! I'd like to know if there's a way to limit the number of smileys that show up on the dropdown menu, while the other smileys are still usable. Thanks in advance!

Amy, if you limit the number of smilies that show, do you have a provision for the members to know the smiley code to type in the post?

Amy , if you limit the number of smilies that show, do you have a provision for the members to know the smiley code to type in the post? Hi, Scott. Yes, I do. The "hidden" smileys are pokémons, so we'll explain that they just need to write the pokémon name between ":" (e.g. :pikachu:). ^^ We just don't want to overload the menu. Although regular members don't really need those, pokémon smileys will be extremely convenient for the adms to write game guides. I've been using censor words for that purpose, but smileys'style is easier to customize.

If your additional smileys are added after the ones you want to keep, then you can use some CSS to hide all after a certain index.
So for example. ProBoards has 30 default smileys, if you add additional smileys after them, then you would set the index to start at 31. This will hide all children after index 30. Which would result it all ProBoards smileys showing, but any that follow will be hidden.
ul.smiley-menu li:nth-child(n + 31){
display: none;
}
Just tweak that number until they are all hidden.
If they are not at the end, and a little more random, then you will need a different solution.
