Apologies in advance if this is too unspecific.
I run a fantasy football league, and I need a way for the managers to bid on players when they enter the league. Currently a manager will open a thread for the player, and separately send a PM to a user account with their bid in. Other managers have 24 hours to send a PM with their own bid in. After that time is up, one of the admins opens those PMs and posts the results.
The admins (including me) are also managers, so ideally I need a system that eliminates the risk of cheating.
The perfect solution would be a plug in that lets people to post a message/send a PM that remains hidden until a certain time/for a certain amount of time before becoming visible.
Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

Hi, micksandals. Plugins can hide posts and PMs from view by editing them out of the page after it's already been loaded, but since they were already on the page they're still visible in the page's source in the event that anyone feels like doing enough digging to actively go looking for them. I think a better solution for this would be to create a board with the Private Board setting enabled. When this setting is enabled another setting (Who can view all threads on the private board) will appear below it. Setting this to Custom without changing anything else will make it so that only the main admin account (username: admin) will be able to see all threads created within that board. The Private Board option makes it so that anyone can create a thread within that board, but users can only see threads they're the creator of. Nobody will be able to see a thread they did not create unless they're given permission in that board's Settings tab. Once 24 hours has elapsed you can turn off the Private Board setting to make all of the threads that were created in that board visible to everyone.

Thank you, I wasn't aware of the Private Board option. Do you know of any way to make posts or threads hidden even from the main admin account? We don't have an independent admin in the game.

Unfortunately the main admin account always retains full visibility regardless of your settings.
The only way to avoid this while still allowing them to participate would be for the main admin to primarily utilize a different account.
